I didn't care about anybody else now. I needed to get my girls from that car and take them away. I didn't know the plan, only that I needed to take them somewhere they'd be safe.
I sprinted to the car, forcing open the door to the backseats. Molly was closest to me, her eyes closed and dark. They'd obviously made them drink or fed them something to knock them out.
"Molly," I whispered, she stirred but didn't awake. Darby, however, did.
"Darby, get out of the car okay, do as I say," I ordered. She began to whimper as she became aware of where she was.
"Daddy," she cried.
"Get out of the car and go over to Daddy's," I repeated, pulling out Molly's seatbelt. I glanced at Joe in the middle, his head cocked backwards and mouth open. I should've gotten him. I should've cared. I didn't.
I picked Molly up and carried her over to my car. As I was doing so, I made sure I met no one's eye.
"Dylan, what are you doing?" I quickly looked over to see who had spoken my name. I couldn't see Emma, but I soon realised it was Yasmine that had spoken. Gina was beside Daniel's body, weeping slightly.
"I'm so sorry," Gina cried, staring at me. "Daniel and Craig forced me!"
I looked at her and felt it. I felt sympathy. I knew she was telling the truth. But would the police?
"Gina listen, the police will be here anytime soon, so run," I advised. She stopped crying and looked at me. With that, she ran straight by me, her back disappearing into the trees.
I glanced at Yasmine but didn't say anything. I knew she hated me.
I continued to get to the car where Molly was already sat inside, crying hysterically. I buckled Molly in and fastened Darby's belt.
I then raced to the driver seat and racked my brains. Where do I take them?
"You're going to stay at Mummy's a few days. I'm so glad you're safe," I let out a cry as my voice broke.
I used my key to start up the engine. Suddenly, the door was yanked open and startled me. Emma entered the car, shaking uncontrollably.
"Take me with you, Dylan."
I looked at her before backing out of the plain and turning around to drive through the woods.
It didn't take too long to get back home. Especially with the speed I was driving at. The clock ticked to 3:45am when I pulled up outside of Romania's house.
The girls were asleep. I looked at them. I was so worried and now I'm so glad they're back. But I had to give them up again.
I managed to wake them both up this time and took them both up Romania's garden.
"Daddy is going away for a while but ill be back to see you very soon," I kissed them both goodbye. I banged upon their mother's door before she answered.
They were both very happy to see their mum as she was very happy to see them. I requested to speak to Romania for a couple of minutes.
"I've done something stupid," I stuttered.
"What?"
"It doesn't matter but I want you to take the girls. Take them to New Zealand like you said. Give them the life they deserve."
"When are you gonna see them again?" She asked. I didn't answer. I slipped her a spare key to my house and I just turned and went back to the car.
"Is everything alright?" Emma asked.
"What sort of quesitons that?" I snapped. I looked away and waited until I'd fought back my intruding tears. "My girls," I whispered.
