Movies and Friends

As I sat in my desk at St Frasers, I dreamt of a world of my own, a world with no worries, a world where I could be myself, a world to escape. I couldn't help but notice a creature lingering on the other side of the classroom window. Without realising it I went over to the window and unlatched the lock keeping the creature out. Wind bursted into the classroom and blew papers of tables, Water spilt and glass broke. "What's the meaning of this Ms Menzies?" Questioned Mr McDonald. I snapped back into life and was very confused. "But what do you mean sir?" "Don't play games with me missy!" He glared at the puzzled me, "Why did you open the window?" "What?"I said baffled. "Detention!" Said Mr McDonald. I kept quite.

The rest of school went fast and soon enough it was time to go back to the dorm rooms. I changed into my day clothes. I was wearing a white sleeveless blouse and blue jean shorts. I sat on my bed and sighed. 'If only...' I thought and stopped. "It's back, the creature is back!" There was a knock at the door. I opened it without a care and it was a boy. To be precise, my best friend and crush. We have been friends since they were 3. Elliott and I had brothers who were in the same cricket team and Elliott and Niki came over and hung out often. Elliott laughed. "Hey, Aubrey. Eliza, Jade, Ruben, James and I were wondering if you wanted to watch a movie with us at Ruben, James and I's dorm? Eliza and Jade are already there." "Oh, that's where they were. Yeah sure." I shrugged. He held out his hand and I took it.

We walked until we reached the boys' dorm. Two figures appeared at the door way and ran towards me. "Aubrey!" Screamed Eliza and Jade in unison. They attacked me with hugs. "Are you okay after Mr McDonald gave you detention?" "Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled. We all gathered into the dorm and sat down. Jade and James sat together. Ruben and Eliza sat really close as they were dating. That left Elliott and I to sit on the bed. "It's cold." Complained Jade. "Yeah." Agreed Eliza. Elliott grabbed the blankets off James and Rubens bed and threw them at James and Ruben. He said "Aubrey, get under the duvet or otherwise you'll freeze." "So what movie are we going to watch." I continued "Horror?" " Yeah sure, how about 'A nightmare on Elm street'?" Asked Eliza. "Sure." Agreed the rest of our group in unison. We watched the movie and then Eliza, Jade and I went back back to our rooms. It had been a good day I decided even though I got detention for Saturday (tomorrow). After that thought I closed my eyes and dozed off. If you haven't picked it up already, St Frasers is a boarding school.
