It was a rainy night when Taehyung was driving home from work. It had been an exhausting day for him and he was ready to collapse as soon as he got back home.

As he neared the stoplight, he slowed the car, relaxing his hands a little. He was weary and his eyelids were heavy. Taehyung yawned as he waited for the light to turn green. While he waited, his phone rang. His boyfriend Jungkook was calling.

Picking up the phone, Taehyung lifted it to his ear, speaking in a groggy tone, "Hello?"

"Are you home yet?"

As usual, Taehyung receives the call from his lover asking if he was almost home. He found the calls to be signs of love. The younger was constantly worried about him, and he appreciated that.

"No, not yet baby. There's a lot of traffic today," Taehyung responded with a short yawn. It was rush hour and he was currently stuck in bumper to bumper traffic; everything was moving at a tortoise's pace.

"Well, hurry up please? I need to talk to you."

Whenever Taehyung heard those words, he became a bit concerned. Was something wrong? Did something happen? Questions ran through Taehyung's head as he continued driving home.

"I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get home, so can we talk now?" Taehyung bit his bottom lip, worried about what the other boy would say to him. He was tired, but he managed to keep awake and stay attentive to both the road and Jungkook's voice on the other line.

"Fine," Jungkook sighed. "You really need to stop buying so much Gucci, the credit card bills came in today and the amount you're spending is out of our budget!"

Taehyung sighed, remembering the shopping spree he had gone on with his friend Jimin. Jungkook had given him a budget to stay within, but in his excitement, Taehyung may or may not have spent a little too much. Gucci products were expensive on its own, but Taehyung had bought some for himself and Jimin, insisting that he would pay. He regretted the decision as he listened to Jungkook explaining their situation to him.

"Tae, we'll be cutting it short with the rent this month. So we really have to watch what we're buying."

"It's okay Kookie, I'll just work overtime and get a bit more pay. We'll be fine." Taehyung put the phone on speaker and set it down, keeping his hands on the steering wheel as he stepped on the gas once more.

A sigh was heard from the other line, signifying that Jungkook wasn't fond of his idea.

"You come home late everyday now, always exhausted. You can't keep working yourself like this."

Taehyung knew that Jungkook was right, but he wasn't about to lose an argument this easily. Jungkook tended to win most of their arguments about anything, but for once, Taehyung wanted to be the victor.

"Baby, I know that I'm barely at home these days, but you know we need the money. I'll be fine." Taehyung knew that he'd be overworking himself, but he knew he would be able to pull through somehow.

"Tae, no. I'm not going to let you do that. It'll hurt the both of us, just let me handle the finances right now. I'll even ask Jin hyung for—"

Taehyung groaned loudly, clearly annoyed. "Jungkook you're not my mom, I know how to handle myself." Taehyung tightened his grip on the steering wheel, his eyes glued to the road.
