Chapter Seven

Rylee's POV

Its been almost two weeks and things are going great. I wake up this morning with a big smile on my face, thinking about Justin. I am so excited to get to school and see him.

Kate isn't picking me up today, she is riding in with Ryan. As I am about to open the door to walk to school my phone rings, its Justin. "Hey, what's up?"

"Uh, hey I was wondering if you want a ride to school, I'm outside if you do."

"Yeah, perfect. I'm on my way out." I say smiling.

When I open my front door I see Justin's car in the driveway, this is the first time I notice how expensive his car is. Holy, he must have a lot of money.

He sees me and gets out to walk me to the car and opens the door for me. I love that he does this, its sweet.

I can't help but smile as he gets in the car, I hardly know him but he makes me so happy.

"Good morning." he says while smiling.

I smile back at him, "Thanks for the ride."

Once he takes off, he turns the radio up a little. Then he takes his hand and sets on my leg while we drive off to school. His touch feels so good, it sends tingles through my body. I look over to him and smile.

"What?" he says smiling back.

"You make me happy." It was a risk, I am not really sure how he feels about me. He notices the change in my face as I think about him not liking me. He reaches for my hand squeezing it tight.

"You make me happy too." Then I realize we are at school.

He gets out to open my door and he walks me to class. Giving me a quick kiss he heads off. I walk into the room and every head turns to look at me. I am really starting to hate this. I just keep my head down as I walk to my seat.

I usually sit alone, but today someone sits next to me. I look up and its that Emily girl. Great, what does she want now? I flinch as I think about her pushing me and I look away hoping she wouldn't hit me again.

"He's only using you, I hope you know." Emily says. What the fuck is she talking about? "He did the same thing to me and many other girls. Ever since his sister died he started using girls. He dates them for a few weeks, fucks them, and then leaves them." she continues.

I am starting to feel the anger boil inside, what is she talking about? I feel the tears start to come, I grab my stuff and run out, ignoring all the stares and my teacher yelling after me.

Once I make it to the bathroom stall, I lock it and text Kate. Luckily she comes there as fast as she can. "What happened?" I hear her say as I open the stall door.

"Lets get out of here, please." We leave school heading to her house.

Once we get to her room I allow myself to fall apart.

"Is it true that Justin just hooks up with girls and leaves them?" I ask as the tears flood out of my eyes.

She shifts, slowly walking to sit next to me on her bed. "He hasn't had the best past with girls, no..."

"Why didn't you tell me?" I say with anger in my voice.

"Well its not like you have told me much about what is going on between you two.. I didn't know you were that serious about him." she says and she gives me a hug. "I have a date with Ryan tonight, but tomorrow night I can come over and we can listen to music and watch some movies. I hate seeing you like this, you deserve to be happy, Rylee."

I say goodbye and head toward my house, I need to go home and get lost in a good book.
