Alec's POV

I was currently in our school cafeteria with my best friends, Kiera Cameron, Emily, Shawn Hunter, Cory Matthews, and Nicholas Bornihay. The only girl allowed to join our little group of guys was Emily, which is easy for her because she's a tomboy. 

Cory got up from his seat "I'm going to get a candy bar from the vending machine, be right back." he announces. 

Shawn looked at me "Hey Alec, did you do the homework Mr. Feeny gave us last night?" Kiera rolled her eyes

"Let me guess.....you're asking him this question because...you didn't do it, right?"

 Emily looked over at Shawn. He was grinning.

"Why didn't you do it?" I ask him. Shawn shrugged "I was busy." 

Emily huffed "Doing what?"

 Shawn looks at her "Guy stuff." 

I shake my head and reply sarcastically "Oh, that's a great answer, Hunter." 

"Come on, Alec, please?" Shawn asks me "I'll be your best friend."

I shake my head "You already are, idiot." Emily and Nicholas laugh out loud.

Shawn chuckled "Shut up." he says as he lightly punches him on his shoulder. 

"There's no gravity in space, Mr. Matthews." I hear Mr. Feeny say to Cory and I turn to watch them. "Therefore, astronauts suck up.....learn from them." 

Cory comes back toward us with a candy bar in his hand. Shawn shakes his head "He's a teacher." he says as Cory sits down beside Nicholas. "Keep raggin' on him and he's gonna make your whole sixth grade year miserable."

Cory chuckles. Shawn nods to the direction behind us "Hey, who's that?" We all turn around and see some lady we didn't know talking with Mr. Feeny.

"You think she's new?" I ask. "I've never seen her here before." Shawn huffs

"She must be new." he says "She's talking to Feeny." he then turns to all of us 

"Okay, how late did you stay up last night?" Cory grins "Monologue."

"Monologue, first guest." Nicholas says.

"Monologue, first guest, bad sketch." Shawn counters.

"Monologue, first guest, bad sketch, funny zoo animal." I grinned

"Monologue, first guest, bad sketch, funny zoo animal......Steve Lawrence." Nicholas replied. Yup, he's the winner.

"Whoa! Steve Lawrence!" Both Cory and Shawn say surprised. The school bell rings. 

"And there's the bell." Shawn says as we all get up and grab our stuff. Cory sighs 

"4 hours till lunch."

I take my stuff and follow Kiera, Emily, Cory, Shawn, and Nicholas to Mr. Feeny's classroom.

Alec's POV

An hour and a half I've spent in here listening to Mr. Feeny explain Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to us. Feeny picked out Nicholas and Kiera to play as Romeo & Juliet. Kiera was lying down on Feeny's desk, pretending to be dead. I was sitting behind Cory and Shawn.

"She's dead....Mr. Bornihay" Mr. Feeny says out loud. "Pick up the knife and kill yourself." 

"Mr. Feeny, you and I both know Kiera's not really dead." Nicholas says "May I please stab her a few times, just to make sure?"
