I was unsure of what time it was. Trying to pull myself to my feet, I felt a heavy weight at my waist. When my vision cleared, I realized it was Shawn. Seeing him touched me; he'd stayed with me all night, holding me.
Something ached within me, and I realized that this was the way things used to be, with him caring for me... I had tried to forget life with him, knowing his absence would only hurt me more.
I shifted, and I heard him murmur while opening his eyes. His eyes widened as he saw that I was awake, and I gripped his hand tightly and smiled.
