As Natsume sat in class, he wondered where Mikan was. She was normally late, but today she was 20 minutes late. What was going on? Natsume had to relax-besides she probably over slept-and focus on the class. There was a brief knock on the door and Mr. What's-his-face opened the door. Five minutes later, the teacher (Mr. What's-his-face) comes back in looking worried.
"Ahem" He starts " It appears that something has.. happened to one of the students. Please remain calm, we'll take care of the situation. Until then read pages 20-41 while I head to the principals office." He spoke quickly, then walked out of the room in a fast pace.
Natsume wondered who was missing, was it? No, that's silly. Shes sleeping in late, right? He looked over at Hotaru, who looked deep in thought. Did she suspect something too? Natsume grew worried, he remembered what happened last time this happened. He remembered Mikan getting thrown into a wall, how he got mad at the man that threw her and exploded everything with his Alice. Natsume realized that Mikan had also tried to save him and protect him when he was weak. The class bell rang out, saving Natsume the trouble of having to read. He headed out to his tree to think. His thoughts drifted to Mikan, where was she? Was she kiddnapped? What if it was Reo that had her? He didn't get to stay at the tree longer because the bell rung signaling the end of lunch break.

Mikan woke up in a dark room that smelled strangely of water and rust. She heard voices in the distance, but they were hushed and she couldn't make out the words. My head hurts, she thought. She decided her head hurt too much to think, and she fell back asleep.
