Carson looks up slowly and I hold her hand in mine.
"This is going to sound crazy, but, I need you to trust me. Okay?"
She nods and keeps her stare on me.
"Carson, I need you to know, that I love you. Like... really fucking love you." I quivered. "When you left I had lost everything. I didn't know who I was and I was so afraid. Afraid of you being in danger and I lost so much sleep thinking about you."
She looked at my eyes and then my lips. Carson stayed quiet and waited for me to carry on.
"It's not living, if it's not with you." I cried.
Tears were in her eyes and I know she knew what I meant. And I didn't know how. But she always knew what I had meant.
"There has to be another way-"
"There isn't." I answer with a lump in my throat. "I'll do this, if you do this. I love you and I can't be with anyone else."
She thought for a sec. Her red eyes scanned my room. Then she nodded. More tears fell from her eyes, but, she still agreed. And I knew she was tired. Tired of all of this.
"If that means forever."
I nod. "We'll do it tonight. At the building."
"I don't care where I am." She whispers. "As long as I'm with you."
