"Liv..." Jared whines his nickname for me so that it comes out of his mouth more like "Liiiivvv". He's been bugging me all day and it's obvious that he isn't going to stop now.
"What do you want Jare?" I practically yell at him.
"Please go with me."
"I already told you I can't."
Anyways, what exactly Jared has been bugging me about is going to a party with him. One that I definitely wouldn't be allowed to go to.
"Well then I'm just going to have to sneak you out of you house. You can't just let me be all alone now can you?" He says trying to justify with me.
"As much as I'd love to go to that amazing party that's at your girlfriends house, I can't." I announce sarcastically and hope to god that he gets the point. Knowing Jared, he probably hasn't by now.
"She is not my girlfriend she's..."
I cut him off before he can finish.
"Just been madly in love with you since the day she laid her she devil eyes on you. Yeah I get it now." I say and it comes out more harsh than I had originally meant it to. Even if it was true.
I wouldn't admit it to Jared but he is one of the hottest guys at this school. He's also the most popular guy at this school. How we became friends is still a mystery to me. Considering I'm the complete opposite.... almost.
"Liv I know that she..." He starts.
"Just please. Don't." I can't tell if he can see the hurt that flashes through my eyes for a split second. I hope he didn't. "It's over with. It's done and I'm completely past it."
"Okay." He says, still unsure of whether to believe me or not.
We continue walking down the nearly empty school hallway to get to the main entrance. We walk in silence for a good five minutes before I am the first to speak.
"I'm sorry Jared. I shouldn't have been so harsh. I didn't mean it it's just she makes me so ticked off and you were just trying to help me get out of my comfort zone by going to that party." I state completely truthful and apologetic.
"Liv, it's okay, really. I know Jessica makes you mad but we don't have to go to that party tonight."
And what exactly is it about this psychotic blonde chick that makes me so mad? Oh that's right. How could I possibly forget. Anywhere the girl walks she acts like she owns the place and like she's head honcho of everybody. Oh, and did I mention she's the most popular girl in central high? Well she definitely is and if you cross her, that would probably be the stupidest way you could've ever committed suicide.
"I want to hang out with you Jare but you know I'm not allowed to go to stuff like that. it's my parents." I groan at the thought of how much trouble I would get in if I actually went.
By now we have already reached Jared's black Mustang muscle car. It's a nice car, but I would never admit that to Jared. It would just go to his head just like everything else does.
"Well then they just won't know about it." He states as he opens the passenger door for me and starts to walk over to the drivers side.
He's been driving me to school ever since he got his drivers license. It's not the fact that I don't want to drive. It's just simply because we are best friends and we should technically just be glued to each other.
I contemplate the party and if I should go with my best friend or just stay at home. As I think more and more I'm beginning to realize how boring my life is and how this is just the right thing to do to spice things up a little.
