I woke up suddenly and jolted up. I tried to move my arms and legs only to see them tied down to the hospital bed.

"Mom?" I called out, "Dad?" again, "Sammy?" No one there. Just me in a cold cornered hospital room in the ER.

"Hello? Nurse? Doctor?" I yelled. I saw the curtain open and a young woman walk in. I looked at her and broke down crying,

"Where's my mom and dad and family?" I yelled. She didn't answer and tied me down tighter. I looked around and saw someone in a bed next to me. Was that me? No. It couldn't be.

I looked carefully. It was. I had to be dreaming. I pinched my skin but nothing happened. I pinched harder and harder. I tried walking over to me in the bed, but found myself strapped down... like the girl in the bed next to me. Me.

I closed my eyes and slept.

I woke up this time. For real. I made a quick look around the room for people. I saw my mom in the corner on her phone and Sammy sitting next to her.

"Mom." I tried saying only to see I was restrained with some mouth restraint on my mouth. I hummed loudly to get my mom's attention.

I saw her jolt up and walk over to me. She brushed a few hairs from my face and kissed my forehead.

"Honey, you can't talk with that restraint on but you can look at me okay?" I nodded and cried a bit.

"Honey. Don't cry. Would you like to know what happened?"

I nodded a little bit.

"Sammy found you on the floor of your bathroom with the bottle of your ADD medicine in your hand. We immediately called an ambulance and they came straight away. In the ambulance they declared you dead, honey" she began crying, " and when they told us at the hospital, your dad and I... we just couldn't take it. Sammy was the same. They rushed you in and did CPR and pumped your stomach and got you stabilized." She sighed,

"I've never been so scared, honey. I watched them do everything. From the ambulance to the OR. At first they had a breathing tube in after surgery." I made a confused noise, "They cut open your stomach and pumped it somehow. I wouldn't know.... anyways they decided to take the breathing tube out and put that restraint on you which I think is pretty evil." I agreed with her.

I saw my mom reach forward and rip the restraint off causing a great amount of pain on my face. "Oh, sorry honey. Better?" she asked.

"A lot. No you're telling me I died?" I guess that was the dream I had. "Mom I had a dream and I was in the room still tied to the bed and restrained, but I saw myself. I was more or less floating over myself than next to me, but.. mom. I died today. I saw heaven mom." I began crying,

"I remember at one point I looked up and saw a bright light and some clouds. I saw hands. The hands were beautiful. Golden, soft, glowing hands. I reached up to them, but something stopped me, mom. I don't know what, but something stopped me. I think it was Sammy praying mom. I really do."

I looked up at my mom. Tears streamed her bare face. She didn't say anything... just stared.

"And mom, my pink bow? I was wearing it. I had a white gown on and the only color was the pink bow in my hair." My mom continued to cry.

She sat down at the edge of my bed and held my hand and cried into it. I looked over to Sammy who was now next to mom, he too was crying.

"Don't cry guys, I was actually happy then. I am now too for some odd reason."

I looked at them both and they smiled while tears streaked their barren faces.

"I think you'll like it there."
