"That's okay." I smile at my new neighbor. He unintentionally tripped me, but he's still apologizing.

"No, really I'm sorry." He returns the gesture.

"No, really I'm fine." I laugh at his expense.

"You sure your knee looks pretty banged up." He blushes the redness spreading across his cheeks.

"You know what? You should come over and take a look at it." I try to get the cute cute boy from next door to come over and I sound so stupid. This is worse than the time I peed my pants in fourth grade.

"Yeah, okay." He agreed. I can't believe this worked, I've never had a boy over considering I'm my father's only daughter. Meaning he won't allow it. He's at work now, what he doesn't know won't hurt him.

My cute neighbor which I learned his name is Oliver followed me to my room and I shut and locked my door. He has no idea about my four brothers. There's Felix, Ryan, Cameron, and Adam. My least favorite people in the world.

We walked into my bathroom and I jumped onto the counter. I'm so thankful I decided to shave yesterday.

"You have a couple cuts, but I think you'll live through it." He jokes.

"No, I think you're going to have to cut my leg off." I joke back, and he laughs. I mean really laughs. Not like when you tell your grandma a perverted joke she doesn't get laugh, a genuine laugh. I don't get that much around here.

"Yeah." he chuckles. "Do you think you could show me around the town?" he forces a smile.

"Yes, of course! Let me just just call my dad." I know he would never agree unless I catch him when he half pays attention. At work.

I call him and ask if I can take the new neighbor around town. He replies "just be back by 7."

I take Oliver on our "tricked out" golf cart to the most popular parts of Porterville. 1: the half price gas station 2: the movie theater

3: the ice cream store

4: the shoe bridge

5: the tire swings by the river

"So yeah, we pretty much only have five things to do here." I turn the golf cart into my driveway.

"More than my old town." He grins.

"I'm sure!" I laugh sarcastically.
