Chapter 2- Pain, Past, And Paintball

I opened the door and let Ash in. I shoved him into the wall and turned back to no one.

"Asher you are such a liar."

"No I'm not." He says shutting the bathroom door

"Whatever I'm going out. Behave Nathan."

As I unlock my car I see a guy take off on a motorcycle. I really want to ride on one of those, but ever since Ash's brother died on one I can't even touch one. I start my car thinking about Ash. I can't believe he would try and move on me. I don't even have feelings for him like that anymore.

"I'm so lucky, lucky. I'm so lucky, lucky." I pick up my phone and see Stormy's face on my screen. I ignore the call and keep going. I miss her. I should've answered but Ash probably called her telling her about what happened. My phone starts to go off again and I answer it.

"Okay explain why you didn't answer the first time I called?"

"Hon I'll explain. Just meet me at Starbucks. I need some coffee."

"Fine but I'm going to kick your ass." I end the call and turn on the radio and sing along.

" I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile you've never loved your stomach or your thighs." One Direction plays around me. As I listen to the song I think about how me and Stormy can relate to the song. Her and I both have issues. Anorexia, anger issues, bi-polar, and others. That's why we've been friends for so long. We help eachother. I pull into Starbucks parking lot and automatically see her bright red Audi. I get out and walk up to the door. I walk up to the counter and see Minney, or Melisa. We call her Minney because in grade school she used to always wear a Minney Mouse something.

"Hey Rosie. You want your usual?"

"Yes please."

"Thought so. So anything new?"

"Asher's back." She stops making my coffee and turns towards me.

"No he isn't."

"Yeah he is. And he's still a big dip shit." She laughs.

"He always was. Well is."

"Yeah."

"Here's your caramel frappe."

"Thanks Minney."

"Oh and Rose?"

"Yeah?"

"Go easy on Ash. And try not to piss Stormy off. I don't want to kick my two besties out."

"Alright I won't try to." I sit down across from Stormy and start sipping my frappe. She looks up at me with a evil glint in her eyes. Oh shit what did I just get myself into?

"Hello little sis."

"Hi?" She smiles and hands me her phone.

Guess who's back! Wtf!? Is she talking about?

Who? I hand her back the phone and check mine.

"Asher's back!" She screamed in my ear. Yup I'm going to be deaf before I turn 25.

"Yeah I know."

"I know you know."

"What did I do now? I told him I wasn't ready for another relationship."

"Rose you didn't do anything. It's what you said to Ash. He didn't know that Dylan cheated on you. He thought you stayed single while he was gone." While he was gone? He crushed me the night he left town.

We were throwing a going away party for him. Everyone was laughing and having fun.

"Rosie can I talk to you?" He pulled me outside and took me to his truck. He sat on the tailgate. I jumped up next to him hoping he was going to tell me that he liked me.

"Autumn, I know that you like me."

"Yeah, so." Everyone knew. Ever since the 9th grade I've had a huge crush on my best friend. His hands on my face pulled me out of my thoughts. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. He pulled away before I could even react.

"Rose I don't like you that way. I've only ever seen you as a little sister. I'm sorry." He walked back into the house. No. He can't do this to me. Tears were streaming down my face. Sivs wracking through my body.

"Rose? Are you out here?" Minney and Stormy walked out and saw me crying.

"Oh my god what happened?" I told them what happened abd for the rest if the night we sat there. Me crying and laughing as my two best girlfriends made stupid jokes.

He took my first kiss that night. And to tgink that he would want me to stay single after what he did. Yeah right.

"Well he's a dumbass for thinking that." I toss my cup into the trash and follow her outside. We lean across from eachother. We start making plans for paintballing this weekend.

"I'll see you on Friday. Love you."

"Love you too." I get in my car and drive back home. I grab my phone and call Kat.

"Hey babe."

"Hey. Are you up for paintball on Friday and sleep over Saturday?"

"Yup. Do you want me to tell everyone else?"

"Yeah thanks."

"I'm on it. Love ya."

"Love you too." Now all I have to do is get Ash to come.
