Candice Li is moving. She's leaving behind California, its sweltering heat, and its unfortunate bounty of unfaithful boyfriends. Candice is trading it all in for Nova Scotia, its coastal climate, and quiet, kindred folk (hopefully). Her shorts and crop tops have all been cashed in for skinny jeans and knit sweaters. Candice is totally ready to leave behind her feuding parents, cheating boyfriend, and materialistic friends for her favorite person in the whole world: Grandma Sheela.
Then Candice meets Dallas on the way to Grandma Sheela. Dallas is quite possibly the sweetest, funniest, and quirkiest boy Candice has ever met; not to mention the cutest.
All at once, it begins to feel like Grandma Sheela isn’t all that’s awaiting Candice’s arrival in Nova Scotia.
