Ally's P.O.V.:

We sat there with no words spoken between us, like there was something between us. Something we didn't want to give life to. The room that was usually filled with joyous laughter was numbingly silent as we sat together. It seemed like we were miles apart, but so close that I could just touch him. Except, he'd probably just flintch at the sudden contact.

My heart ached to discover anything he'd feel about me. Did he like me? Was I unique? Was I special in someone's eyes? Why wasn't he looking at me straight? The questions swam through my head like a never-ending ocean. He looked so out of it. Like he was dead in a sense.

"Austin?" I asked, looking over at him. He turned to face me and we stopped in that moment. Our gazes locked and our hearts stopped. The sunlight poured through the windows and framed his figure like a glorious picture. His hazel eyes shot through me.

"Yeah?" he scooted closer. It was habit, but we both noticed the unplanned closeness and laughed nervously to ourselves. Our faces were inches apart and I could feel his breath hit my face. Our eyes widened in wonder and worry. Was this really happening?

Suddenly, his lips were on mine in sweet bliss. Our eyes fluttered close and the pure perfect essence of the situation settled in.

I was falling in love with Austin Monica Moon.
