She's just a girl.

Anna's POV 

It's good to be back in Portland for a few days.  Ben is with me. I am truly happy with him. My parents, my brothers and friends are totally in love with him.

When I told my parents,Janice and William, that I was coming back home for a week they were speechless. I don't go to Portland as often as I wish I could. I live in Los Angeles and I work a lot. Anyway Ben and I are just out of the taxi. We're in front of the house where I grew up. After a few seconds of waiting my mom came at the door.

"Anna, Ben! It's so good to see you." My mom hug us as if she hadn't seen us in a year. We saw each other 6months ago though.

We enter the house to find my father and my brother in the couch.

"Michael? What the fuck are you doing here? I thought you were in New York" I hug him tightly.

"I was in New York until mom called me to say that you were coming back home for a week. I had to come to see my baby sister. I swear that you don't come here enough" He crossed his arms on his chest while saying this. It makes him looks serious.

"I agree with you, son. She doesn't come as often as she used to" My dad hugged me while saying this. He gave Ben a friendly tap on the shoulder.

" I know guys. I truly miss you but the past months have been crazy. I had to shoot 'A Simple Favor' and 'Noelle'.  I swear I'll promise to come more often"

"That's true, I haven't seen her a lot in the past months too. This little lady is always busy" Ben kissed me.

My dad took our suitcase and put it in my old bedroom. It was 6PM alredy, so I decided to help my mom to cook dinner while the boys were watching football.

"I love when you and Michael are here. It always put joy in the house even if you argue a lot" She laughs saying that last part

"We don't argue.... Well .... Okay we argue but in a fun and friendly way! He is always making fun of me" I remember the time when my brother and I used to fight until death (or nearly) on the couch.

" You know, it's good to see this house full again. With your father and I, it looks empty." She seems a bit sad about that. Ugh, I should come more.

After Dinner, Ben asked if he could see pics of me when I was a child!
Of course my mom went upstairs and came back with 2 photo albums.
While watching those pictures! I actually saw that there was a picture hidden below another! It took it out!
It was a picture of my parents! My mom looks exhausted and she has a baby in her arms! It doesn't look like me or Michael.

" Who is it? It isn't Michael and it isn't me" I said while raising my eyebrows

My parents look at each other

" That's just a baby! She's just a baby girl" my dad was sweating a bit

"Why was mom so tired? And why does she have a newborn baby into her arms?" Michael was now concerned

"When I had you Anna, I was in a room with another young mother! We bond, and she asked if we wanted to take a picture with her baby, and we said yes. End of the story" She swallows.

"Okay that's a weird move to do" I laugh

We moved on. We were looking at another picture when Michael burst with anger

" You're definitely lying about that baby girl" His voice was really loud

" Michael, Can you please calm down! That's the truth" My father was angry too now! Great this evening was a mess!
