You knew that Stark would be gone for some reason he wouldn't reveal to you. He did however; say that it had something to do with Vision. "He'll tell you if he wants to come around about it," Stark had said. After that, he had left you and Vision the only two in the Avengers mansion.

You had been training in the simulator, trying to best your score each time. But now, it held an eerie silence. There were no more blatantly sarcastic remarks from Tony or his new AI assistant FRIDAY. Instead, the air was static and still.

It felt odd to only have Vision and you in the whole compound... Speaking of Vision, where was he? You hadn't seen him in a few days, nor had he made any attempt to contact with you. It was weird. One day you two were happily conversing for hours and the next, there was not a word between the two of you. It had been like that for a few days now; no contact between the two of you, and it was starting to get to you. You enjoyed Vision and his company; it would make you happy to be around him, in his humble, yet handsome manner, and it hurt you to see him distancing himself from you.

Since no one else was "home", it seemed like the perfect time to find out what was bothering Vision.

You started out the exit of the gym and turned into an adjacent hallway that would pass by what served as the living room, and eventually arrive towards his room. The floor echoed your steps softly; as you let your eyes wander for any sign of the gentlemen that had oddly ostracized himself from you.

You passed by the living room. There was the dormant flat screen television hung along the wall opposite of you. The three person long couch faced towards the tv. The android seated tensely in the corner of the couch. You halted your steps sharply. Vision!

You walked into the living room causing Vision to jump, obviously not expecting any intrusion. His eyes opened wide, and his muscles tensed. You walked over to where Vision was sitting and sat down to the left of him. He adjusted his position and took towards the few inches that remained in the opposite corner of the couch.

Your body inched over to him, bordering on breaking the bubble in which friends generally distance themselves. "What's bothering you Vision?" Your concerned eyes met his worried.

A moment passed, but no words were said. He almost seemed sad, as if there was something he was longing to say but, couldn't bear to reveal.

"It's ok. Whatever it is, I promise I'll be there for you and won't judge you on it." You rested a compassionate hand on his upper arm. "You can tell me."

He let out an exasperated sigh and turned towards you. "You're aware that I am an android, with a stone from outer space that contains power that none of us can comprehend." It almost sounded like a question, but it lacked the seeking of an answer. You nodded towards him in an acknowledging gesture. "It has made me who I am, and yet I know so little about it." There was another pause in his words. "When I first came into this world, I struggled to find an identity for myself, and as I continued to grow as a person, I still held myself back by the fact that I am only an android and nothing more." He furrowed his brow. "I grew feelings that I would suppress, as I am still a mere synthezoid."

"Oh Vision, you're so much more than that." You gently massaged his shoulder. It hurt to see him like this. Why would he see himself as nothing more than a robot? I see him like a man and a good one at that. He's strong, compassionate, handsome... Your crushing on Vision grew in your mind, but in the current predicament, it seemed inappropriate to even consider such thoughts. "What kind of feelings did you develop?"
