Broke my Promise

I wake up with the sun in my eyes and I just groan and roll over. I put my pillow on my head so I don't have to see the light that is illuminating my room at the moment. After about five minutes of unsuccessfully falling back to sleep and get up. I walk to my bathroom and look at myself in the mirror and smile.

I don't know why I smiled but I just couldn't help it. After me and Alissa meet I haven't done any self harm since. At one point I was so down that I went to pain to help cope with everything. One major factor was my parents divorce and then my Mom became an alcoholic.

As soon as Alissa stepped into my life I told her everything and return she told me everything. Never in a million years would I have had expected this girl to be my forever but I'm glad that she is.

Otherwise I don't know if I would be even sitting here... honestly sometimes the truth hurts. Alissa helped me overcome the truth and the poison in my life. Her family took me in willingly and my parents didn't even notice.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad about that but at this point it's in the pass and I refuse to let it ruin my future with Alissa.

Anyway I take a quick shower and put on some clean clothes. After that I walk out of my room and knock on Alissa's door.

"Good morning Alissa. Wake up," I open the door and walk in quietly.

I walk over to her bed and realize she's not there. Her room looks organized there is no way something happened to her. I quickly check her bathroom but she isn't there either. I start to panic.

They better have not gotten her. I promised I would protect her with my life. There is no way she is gone.

I check the hangout area to see if she is there but she isn't I then go to the dining room and I don't see her just a bunch of the pack eating. I then rush into kitchen and see her talking the Luna.

I wave of relief washes over me in that moment.

I walk up behind Alissa and cover her eyes, "Who am I?"

"Patricia your so cheesy," Alissa says laughing.

She uncovers her eyes and turns around towards me. She is smiling like crazy at the moment and I think it's pretty cute. I lean in and kiss her on the lips but just a little peck. She blushes which makes me smile a lot.

I turn to look at the Luna who is looking at us as if she is about to cry, "You guys are just too cute."

"Thank you Luna," we say simultaneously and end up laughing at each other.

"Sometimes I wish my mate cared about me that much," she huffs and puts her hand on her hips.

"I'm pretty sure Alpha loves you lots he's probably just I little stressed," Alissa says assuring Luna.

"I sure hope so too. Well anyway we better get back to making food so the pack doesn't starve to death," Luna chuckles and continue to mix I think some pancake mix.

"Can I join if you don't mind," I ask Luna.

"Sure honey just wash your hands then grab a apron and start making some hash browns please," she replies as she pours a few pancakes onto a cooker.

"Will do," I say.

"Well that was fun," I say laughing because I'm all covered in flour but luckily we finished for today.

"I would have to disagree," Alissa pouts because she had gotten pancake batter on her.

"Well I was in the crossfire!" Luna laughs because she happens to have both flour and pancake batter on her.
