"They say that twelve-million years ago, on this very spot, the first Cybertronian realised he could change shape." Rodimus Prime spoke, with his hand stretched out to the crowd. I listened intently, whilst my friend beside me rolled her optics. "Six-million years ago, right here, Nova Prime told the world that he'd built an Ark." He said. "And four-million years ago to the day, Optimus Prime stood where I stand and turned down Megatron's first and only invitation to surrender." My friend scoffed and I nudged her, she raised an optic ridge and I sighed, looking back to the Prime. "What happens here tomorrow will rank alongside those moments. Tomorrow, this patch of land becomes a launch pad. Tomorrow, I will board the lost light and set off in search of our ancestors." I smiled slightly, and my friend frowned at me. "They were known as the Knights of Cybertron. They're real. I'm going to find them. And I want all of you to come with me." Rodimus Prime finished his speech and my friend scoffed again.
"I don't even understand why you're going on that Primus-foresaken ship anyway! The Knights aren't even real!" She raised her voice at me. "Look, Highlight, I know how you feel. I don't want to leave either but-" She interrupted me. "Then don't!" Highlight shouted. "Just! Just listen. For once in your onlining listen to me!" I shouted at her and her optics flickered. "I don't want to leave you, but this is my dream! It always has been! And you know it." Highlight went silent and she crossed her arms. "I just.. I don't know what I'd do without you. All the times you've helped me.. and you're just.. just.. like a sister to me, the sister I never had, and I don't want to lose you." Highlight looked to the ground, averting her optics from mine. I smiled softly, embracing her in a tight hug. "I promise, I promise that when I get back.. I'll bring you a souvenir." I grinned at her and she giggled. "And what type of souvenir?" Highlight put her hands on her hips. "Uhh.. didn't think of that.." I whispered under my breath. "I'll bring you back something! Something." I smiled and she smiled back. "Bring yourself back. In a full piece, not two like last time!" She smiled giddily and I chuckled. "How about five pieces?" I asked and she shook her helm. "One! One piece! That's the deal." She stuck her servo out and I shook it. "We still have a while, so I want to spend as much time as I can with you." I smiled at her.
An hour later, Highlight had taken me on a complete shopping spree. She told me that I had to look the part, dazzle the Mechs and look better then all the other Femmes. "But I'm literally just a Medic!" I giggled back at her. "And you're on this massive, uh.. Quest! You need to look good!" She smiled giddily and I chuckled. "Okay then." I gave in and she squealed. "Okay! Okay! You're getting your paint done, and everything!" She shouted, grabbing my shoulder plating. "So are you!" I smiled back at her.
A while later, our time was up and I gave her one last hug. "I'm going to miss you so much!" I nuzzled into her neck and she giggled. "That tickles!" I broke away from the hug. "Don't get hurt. Don't get in trouble. Don't get sparked." I smirked slightly and she looked baffled. "Sparked?! What's that all about?" She shouted at me and I laughed. "Because you're a Mech magnet. Look out." I waved my servos around ominously and she laughed. "I really am going to miss you." Highlight gave me one last smile and I returned it gladly. "So am I." I picked up my box of things; walking to the Lost light.
It took a few minutes, but I arrived there behind a Mech who seemed to be called Swerve. I rolled my eyes and rested my wait on one of my pedes, the box getting heavy by this point. Once the two had their small conversation, I walked up the ramp and smiled softly. "Name?" The Mech asked. "(Y/N)." I replied and he seemed to loom over the box I was carrying. "What's in the box?" He asked and I smiled slightly. "Just my stuff, family photos, my data-pad, a few things to make myself at home." I responded cheerfully and he nodded, moving to the side. "Thank you!" I shouted back at him, walking into the Lost Light. "Well. I guess that's it." I said to myself, walking through the seemingly endless corridors of the Lost Light.
I guess I have to find myself a room now, huh? I think it's just.. find the best one you can, until someone else gets it. I walked through the ship, until I found an empty room. It wasn't too big, and wasn't too small. Just, nice and snug. I smiled happily, placing my box of things on the desk in the corner. There was a recharge slab, opposite the desk. I could work with that, I brought some pillows and a blanket just in case. There was a few shelves above it and another door connecting to another room. I raised an optic ridge, opening the door with a click and finding there was an entire separate wash rack here. "Score!" My wings fluttered as I jumped up, smiling giddily. "I got myself a nice room!" I put my servos on my hips, looking around and smiling happily.
"Time to decorate~!" I sang happily, practically radiating happiness. I unpacked my things, placing a few picture frames on the shelves, and arranging my pillows on the recharge slab, putting a blanket beneath and on top of them. "Perfect!" I exclaimed, jumping onto the slab and smiling happily, swinging my pedes. "Guess I could take a decontamination shower?" I said out of the blue. Getting up, I walked into the separate room, turning on the warm oil. I sighed harmoniously, stretching and getting into the shower. I thought over the events of today, smiling slightly. Im really going to miss Highlight, I hope she's doing alright right now. She's probably out drinking with our other friends actually, I chuckled slightly. There was a sudden jolt, and I struggled to keep my balance, before leaning on the wall. I assumed it was the ship taking off, but usually take-offs are much smoother. My wings twitched, and I shrugged slightly, continuing my relaxing shower.
Once I got out, and was dry, I sat on my berth, looking through memories on my Data-pad. I smiled at some of the pictures, before another jolt shook the ship and screamed slightly as flashing red lights came on. 'Calm down (Y/N), it's just some.. idiot messing around..' I told myself as the red lights continued to blare. 'There's nothing wrong.. nothing bad has happened..' I tried to calm myself before I had an all out panic attack. 'Oh, who am I kidding, something's happened!' I shouted in my processor, getting up and putting my Data-pad down on my desk. I took deep breaths, before laying down on my berth.. 'Everything is going to be okay.. just go and have a nice recharge.' I told myself before my processor wandered off and I fell into a deep Recharge.
