Braces AU

A couple months later....

It's been two months, and Hinata knows what that means.... braces. His mom woke him up telling him that they were going to the orthodontist. Hinata was very nervous, his mom said he could stay home all day because he needed to rest so the uncomfortable feel wasn't too much to handle. It didnt take super long to put his braces on, but he felt like his mouth was in jail. His mom bought him some ice cream to eat, but he mostly stayed in bed. After school ended, Kageyama texted Hinata.

Where were you? You didn't show up to practice.
Dumbass❤️:
I went to the orthodontist this morning, and my mom let me stay home all day.
Tobio❤️:
Lucky. Anyways, it was boring without you at practice...

Aww, did you miss me today?
Tobio❤️:
Shut up, but yes I did...

Well I'm not supposed to leave bed, and I can't cook.

Hang on, I'll be there in a minute.

Kageyama made his way to his boyfriend's house, but stopped at a store on the way. Hinata had given him his key in case of emergency, so he went inside the house and put the groceries away.
"Shoyo, I'm here." Kageyama shouted.
"In my room Tobio." He shouted back.
"Hey, i got some ingredients for curry. Thank god you have me here or you would be in so much trouble."
"Wow, thanks."
"Anyways, how's it feel?"
"It kind of hurts, it's really uncomfortable."
"Okay, well you stay here and I'll go make the curry."
And with that, Kageyama walked away to make his boyfriend the best damn curry you've ever tasted. He was in the middle of making it (sorry I don't know the steps to making curry), when he heard footsteps towards him. He didnt know what it was so he swung around and accidentally slapped Hinata across the face.
"Ow, what was that for? Jeez Tobio no need to hit me!"
"Oh my gosh Shoyo I'm sooo sorry!"
He started kissing all over Hinata's face apologetically and Hinata started giggling.
"It's fine Tobio. I have to admit that hurt, but I'm fine." He said while rubbing the side of his face where he got hit.
"Hang on, you're supposed to be in bed. Go! You need to rest!" Hinata was adored by how much Kageyama cared.
"But Tobiooo, I wanted to watch you cook."
"At least take some pain medicine and sit down in a chair or something."
"Okay!" Hinata said cheerily.

Kageyama finished making their curry, he and Hinata sat down at the table and ate in silence.
"This is really good Kageyama! Thank you so much for coming over here."
"Yeah yeah, thank me later when you don't have metal stabbing your face."
They finished their dinner and Hinata decided to share some of his ice cream with Kageyama. They sat on the couch and watched TV for a little while, Hinata soon realized that they had finished the ice cream really fast. He noticed that it felt as if the temperature dropped, he was freezing. Kageyama felt him shivering and quickly grabbed a few blankets and made Hinata in a baby burrito.
"Tobio what was that for? I'm not a baby!"
"No, but you're my baby and I have to take care of you."
Hinata huffed but smiled at how open Kageyama is to him.
"I love you Tobio." Hinata blushed.
"I love you too Shoyo." Kageyama kissed Hinata on the cheek.
A few hours passed by and both of the crows have passed out. Hinata woke up at around 2 am whining.
"Tobiooo. My mouth hurts, get uuuuup."
Kageyama had his arm across his baby burrito while they lay down so he wouldn't roll away. Kageyama didn't move a muscle, Hinata knew he was a heavy sleeper, which was fine, but when his mouth was being stabbed, not so much.
"Kageyama! Wake up please I need to get my medicine!"
"Mmm, Shoyo. Do you need me to get it? You're kinda wrapped up."
"Oh yeah, maybe. My mouth just hurts really bad."
"Okay I'll be right back, so don't worry."
Kageyama got up and turned on the kitchen light, Hinata heard him rummaging through the medicine cabinet and the tap running. He saw Kageyama walking back over to him with some medicine and a glass of water.
"Thanks Tobio."
"Anything for you."
Hinata took his medicine and gave the glass back to Kageyama to put in the sink. He went back on to the couch with Hinata and laid there listening to his breath and heartbeat to make sure he fell asleep again. Though, Kageyama found that he couldn't fall back asleep. He thought it was because he didnt want to wake back up to his Hinata in pain again. He stayed up all night listening to Hinata's breathing, and when the time came, he got up, making sure he didn't wake Hinata up. He went into the kitchen and made some eggs and bacon for himself, and he made Hinata some oatmeal so he wouldn't hurt himself. He woke Hinata up telling him that he made him some breakfast, Hinata needed help getting out of his blanket burrito, so Kageyama helped him. They sat at the table and ate their breakfast, and after that Hinata went to his room to change. He came out of his room and they left for Kageyama's house so he could change too. Kageyama went to his room so he could change into his clothes, and since he never felt shy, he normally left the door open. Hinata went into his room to ask him something.
"Hey Tobio do you want-"
"Eh? I'm in the middle of something Shoyo." Hinata couldn't stop laughing because Kageyama was, in fact, stuck in his shirt. His stomach hurt as he was on the ground laughing.
"Shut up dumbass! Either help me or go on without me." Of course he went to help him, but before he did, he kissed Kageyama's chest affectionately.
"Gh- what the hell Shoyo. Help me!"
Hinata chucked before he finally helped him, and Kageyama decided that he woulf get payback. Kageyama pushed Hinata on to his bed and attacked his neck with kisses.
"Ahaha Tobio stop it! We need to go!" Hinata chuckled, Kageyama knew his neck was extremely ticklish, so that was his best bet.
"Alright fine. What were you going to ask me?"
"I was going to ask if you wanted to get some milk on the way, I'm paying since you made me dinner and breakfast."
"Sure, come on, we need to leave."
They walked to school, Kageyama with two milk boxes in one hand, the other holding his boyfriend's hand.
