It's been months every since I moved into Jayden's House...It's different really, and Luna wants a mother and I don't know if I'm suited to be one...Also, I wanted to run away but never decided to because of Jayden....
Dinner
Luna went over to the dinner table, with her plate of spaghetti I made for her while Jayden was at work. "Thank you Scarlett!" "Your welcome sweetheart..." I didn't myself any because I was having just a salad. "Scarlett! When is my papa coming home?" "Umm...I think at...eleven but I'm not sure..." Just then Jayden came up behind me and said, "Boo!" I jumped out of my seat and said, "Don't do that.....*sighs* I was thought you were working late?" Jayden looked very sad, "Well....I kind of...lost my job...." "No! How?!" "Well...it's kind of complicated...you see the industry couldn't pay me anymore and had to shut down..." I went in for a hug and he hugged me back, "I'm sorry Jayden, I will find a way to help pay for everything..." "No...I'm not gonna make you worry besides...its almost Luna's birthday..." "Oh Yeah...when is that exactly?" "It's on April 12th..." I backed out of the hug and said, "Ok...I will help with her birthday and you worry about the job thing Ok...." "Ok Scarlett! Your the best...*embraces her*" I blushed so hard and Luna looked at me and said, "My Dad never does that...to anyone but me..." I shrugged and sat back down.
Luna's Birthday
"Happy Birthday Luna my sweet..." "Papa...what time is it?" Jayden looked over at the clock and said, "8 in the morning..." "Ugh...just let me sleep..." "Ok Luna..." I heard Jayden walk down the stairs and he said, "She just wants to sleep, You and I could just have breakfast together..." I nodded my head and walked over to the eggs, I grabbed my plate and threw the eggs onto it. I slowly sat down in my seat and saw Jayden on the other side of the table. "So, How is Luna turning?" "Oh! She is turning 10..." I smiled and started eating...
After Breakfast
Jayden and I didn't talk all breakfast...We don't have anything much in common. I then sat up and pushed my chair under the table, I walked toward the living room to sit on the couch. "Hey, Scarlett...can I talk to you about something real fast?" Jayden sat right beside me and held my hand and said, "Thank you so much on helping me out with Luna! I couldn't do this without." "Don't mention it...it's not a big deal.." "Of course it's big deal Scarlett...managing to help pay for everything and taking care of Luna, it was struggle before you came along..." I smiled and then Jayden started leaning in, I slowly then started, just then Luna came down, "Hey guys!" Jayden back away and said to her, "Oh! Hey...We were just...about too.....uhhhh....hug!" Luna walked into the living room and said, " Oh really.." I said, "Yeah!" Jayden stood up and said, "Welp...I'm gonna go take a shower..." Luna quickly sat down where Jayden was sitting..."So...anything going on with you and Jayden...." "No...of course..." Luna looked...heartbroken.. "I thought...you liked my father...." I rushed into saying, "I do...he is a very nice man, but I'm only 24 and he's..." "27..." "Right, But....I'm not ready for a relationship...I'm sorry Luna..." Luna didn't say a word....she stood up from her seat...then walked away...I old myself...what have I done...
Later that evening
I was still sitting on the couch thinking...what do I do..Just then I thought...I slid off the couch and slowly walked out of the door. I slowly shut the door behind me, I had nothing with me, just myself....I then started running...running as fast as I could...I decided this was the best thing to do...because I made Luna heartbroken...and Jayden...he would probably be mad at me for what I've done to Luna...
Jayden POV
"Luna...where is Scarlett?" "Why would I care..." I slowly walked toward her and sat on her bed.... "Hey..what's wrong?" "I don't know...Scarlett...just seemed like....the mom I never had..." I had a shocked look and said, "Awww...sweetheart...I'm sorry..." "She...said she wasn't ready to me a mom..." I gave her a hug... "Well...do you happen to know where she went?" Luna gave her me a shrug, she then walked down the stairs with me and said, "Last time I saw her, she was on the couch..." "That's weird...she left her stuff..." Luna went over to the couch and saw a note... I walked over to look at the note, the note didn't say much but, I'm sorry...I had to leave.... I said with a shocked expression, "She left!?" Luna quickly said, "We have to go look for her!" I looked at her and said, "She might want some alone time...maybe we shouldn't..." Luna gave me a funny look, I said, "What?" Luna grabbed my hand and before I knew it, we were out of the house...
Scarlett POV
Running....Running...can't stop running...I looked back and I heard something...I stopped...I skimmed around the area, I saw nothing....just then I heard a growl...I started running once again and knew something was chasing me...it breathes heavily, every time it comes closer...."Come here Scarlett....I won't hurt...you." The thing kept on speaking and breathing......then saying, "Scarlett." I looking before me, there was a tree....tall and wide. I then turned back toward the creature....then it pounced....
