I looked into her eyes, cold, glazed, dead. Only moments ago they had been warm, bright and alive. Her face once beautiful was contorted, deformed and ugly. She was young and we were in love. Oh how the gods like to meddle. Oh how terror finds you in times of bliss. When you have everything all you can do is lose. Her body was mangled, bones snapped, skin torn, and blood flowing. Her once blonde hair now died crimson. Tears welled up threatening to break the damn of my emotional shock.
Crack, crack, crash. The tears gushed, and my soul screamed. When what you loved most is gone you lose piece of yourself. You lose your heart. Battered and broken she lay, weeping and shattered I stay. My heart was hers and died with her as our car crash sent her soul away.
