This story is set in Alissa's POV.

I looked out the window as another tear slid down my face. I watched as the fields filled with golden wheat sped past the train windows and soon it all became a blur as the train started moving faster. I had decided to head out to the country today, a place I often find myself nowadays. It's a place where I can reflect and remember all the good times I had with Patricia. Some of my relatives lived on the outskirts of the pack where farms are abundant.
The train soon halted to a stop and I hopped off the train, making sure to mind my step. I was greeted by Megan, a cousin 2 years older than me but was more of a sister to me. We popped in her red Jeep and headed off to the farm.
"So how have you been?" Megan asked curiously.
If you count the sleepless nights crying over the loss of my mate, getting over the nightmares I have when I do sleep and countless other problems then, "I've been great thanks!" I answered, perhaps sounding too happy and enthusiastic. Megan eyed me suspiciously, but obviously knew not to press it any further.
"So, what are you going to do on the farm today?" She asked, trying to change the subject.
"I'll probably end up sitting under the tree by the dam again, it's a nice place to relax." I told her.
"Sounds like a plan" Megan said, as we pulled up to her house and she pulled the keys from the ignition. "I'll be in the house when your done"
I bid her farewell and thanked her as I headed down to the dam. I sat my back up against the tree and tried relaxing.
So many thoughts raced through my head before I started talking to myself.
"A day doesn't go by where I don't miss you Patricia. Your laugh, your smile, your eyes and just the beautiful person that's you." I pictured each of these attributes about my beautiful mate as I closed my eyes and lied my head down on the grass. A tear slid down my cheek as I remembered the times I had with Patricia and before I drifted off into sleep, I heard a voice, "One more time.."
*****************************
I was in an open flower field, the bright colours of all the flowers looking happier than a child holding an ice cream. The scenery was beautiful, however there was something odd about it. Instead of it being a day with blue sky's and a bright sun. The sky was in night mode, stars littering the dark sky and a large moon illuminating the scene. However odd it was, it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I felt a warm but gentle breeze brush against by skin as I closed my eyes. When I opened them, I saw a sight I never thought to see again. My beautiful mate stood before me, dressed in a long, white dress that flowed with the breeze.
"P-Patricia?" I half questioned, while stuttering.
"Alissa." Patricia stated, and smiled her warm smile at me.
I ran up to her and engulfed her in a hug, breathing in her beautiful and alluring scent of lavender.
"What's happening? Is this really you Patricia, how can it be?" I questioned breathlessly, resting my hands on her shoulders.
She looked up at the full and luminescent moon and I watched as it reflected back in her eyes. Then she spoke.
"Moon Goddess heard you, she is allowing us to speak once more." Patricia explained, a smile appearing on her face "But you must listen Alissa, our time is limited. Very shortly all of this will be over and I will have to return to Moon Goddess, her powers can only reach a certain extent."
A tear of both happiness and sadness fell down my face as I looked to the ground. Patricia tipped my chin up and wiped the tear off my face.
"I just wanted to tell you that I've heard everything you have said. Every word you said about missing me, about wanting to see me and about wanting to feel me in your arms  again. Alissa, I can tell you now that there isn't a minute that goes by where I don't feel and think the same things you do. I want to feel the warmth of your breath on my own skin, I want to hear the giggle of yours that could light up a whole room."
"But Patricia, without you, I can't be the same. You were the second half of me and without you, I'm not complete." I truthfully told my mate.
"Alissa, listen to me. I know it's hard for you to be the same you as before, but know that I'm always there, watching you and looking out for you. Be happy again for me, and for others. One of the things I love about you is the ability you have to make everyone around you joyful and excited. That is what made and still makes me happy Alissa. Stay the same as you once were, do not let my death darken the rest of your life. Please, do it for me." Patricia said, taking my hands in hers and rubbing soothing circles on them.
"I love you so much Alissa, I always have and always will. I know that you feel the same for me, so please, be the Alissa you were before my death. Happy, funny, intelligent, caring and just continue being the most beautiful person I have ever laid my eyes on. Alissa, can you promise for me to do this?" Patricia questioned as her eyes widened, awaiting my response.
I answered back with little hesitation "Yes, for you Patricia, I can do that. If it means making you happy when you watch me, even if I can't see you, I will do that. And I will do that because I love you Patricia, more than anything in this entire universe."
She smiled, before her body started to slowly fade.
"Wh-what's happening Patricia?" I asked, watching as she continued to fade more.
"Like I said Alissa, the Moon Goddesses powers are limited, I must return to her soon."
I went to say something but Patricia cut me off.
"Do not mourn my loss again Alissa, it only makes my departing harder. However, now I know I can leave you with you knowing I'm always there for you. Every step you take, I'm right next to you and holding your hand. Every jump you take, I'll be there jumping with you. Every person you make happy or every person you make laugh, I'll be alongside you, smiling and laughing."
I smiled at Patricia one last time and spoke one last sentence to her, "I love you Patricia"
I closed my eyes and leant in and I felt the warmth of her lips against mine. I savoured the moment before feeling another warm breeze and falling back into the embrace of sleep.
*****************************
When I awoke, the sun was setting, the colours of a fire spreading across the sky. I smiled at the encounter I had just had with Patricia, the one person I miss the most. However I knew something was different about my feelings. Although I knew I still miss Patricia, at least now I know she's always right beside me, forever supporting and watching out for me.
Before I knew it, the moon had risen and tonight it was bigger and brighter than most nights. I looked at the moon and smiled before whispering, thank you.
