Andrew's thoughts
It's the next day and... I'm not going to lie... I'm kinda worried about how Matthew is going to take care of my little "Hunter" problem... But besides that, I will do any and everything to keep my family safe... I- I just need to hear it from him..
As I took my phone to text Matthew... I look at the TV...it was the news.
News reporter: there was an incident that happened earlier it seems to have been a gang on gang violence according to witnesses... A group of men in Black hoodies walked over to the gang leader and knocked him to the floor until he was unconscious... Right now, he's resting in a coma... Meanwhile the other members of the gang will remain behind bars until further notice..
"Matthew, dammit what did you do." I said to myself.
I continued to text Matthew but before I could hit send... I received a text from him.
Matthew- see I told you I would handle it, you're welcome.
Me- I didn't know that's what you meant when you said you would handle it.
Matthew- yeah well then you should know me better.
Conversation ends.
"What did I just watch on the news?" Janelle came out of the room with a confused look on her face.
"I- I don't even know- I can't even-" I stuttered my words, I couldn't even talk knowing what just happened.
"Bro, is that what he meant by taking care of him, cuz that's kinda extreme, if I do say so myself." Dominic walked out of his room with Addison.
"Exactly, he's always doing the extreme." Addison added to the conversation.
"We are gonna have to move to a different state I don't know." Im still in shock from what just happened.
"Dude, already we've only lived in this house for 5 months." Dominic responded.
"You know what... Give me a second."
"Andrew, where are you going?" Janelle asked.
"To Matthew's house." I replied.
"Im coming with you." Addison told me.
"Alright let's go... And Janelle, Dominic I got this okay, trust me.. we'll be back." Addison and I rushed out the front door and headed to Matthew's house.
Twenty minutes later... They arrived at Matthew and Tatiana's house..
I knock on the door.
"Hey bro, how are you?" Matthew said sarcastically
"Cut the crap, Matthew, why the hell did you and your boys do that?"
"I told you I would take care of it, and that's exactly what I did." He said opening.
Instead of answering him I push my way into the house and Addison right behind me.
"Hey Addison." He said.
"Don't, touch, me you filthy stinken animal." Addison replied.
"Hey that's my filthy stinken animal." Tatiana walked into the living room.
"Hey thotiana, where's your son?"
Addison asked.
"Um, it's TATI-ana and he's with Grandma and Grandpa." She replied
"Girl, I would advise you not to get loud with me unless you want your son to come home and see you with a black eye." Addison threatened.
"Was that a threat?" She replied.
"Ha, call it what you want, sweetie." Addison said sarcastically.
"That's it get out." Tatiana demanded.
"No, as long as Andrew is here I'm going nowhere." Addison giggled.
"Fine, then both of you get out." She demanded again.
"CAN YOU SHUT UP, DAMN!" Addison and I said together.
"Baby just go take a seat ill be right there." Matthew told Tatiana.
"So, what is the problem?" Matthew asked.
"The problem is that, you put my former gang leader in the hospital and now the gang is incarcerated." I explained.
"Yeah... Um... I still don't see the problem." Matthew continued.
"The problem is... They are going to think it's me and when they get out, guess who they are coming after.... It's me."
"And what if Hunter wakes up from his coma? Hmm? What happens then." I asked.
"Big bro that's a really big "if" is it? Trust me when I say no one will be after you, I got you covered I promise dude." Matthew replied.
"Yeah, and what's the catch?" I continued.
"No catch, you're my brother and I know you hate me and I understand that's why there's no catch I promise." He said.
"Okay, okay fine... I'll be back soon." I told him.
"Anytime bro." He said.
They go back home..
"Well that was a complete waste of time." Addison said.
"Hey, what happened?" Janelle asked.
"I didn't get to beat anyone's ass today." Addison said.
"What she meant to say was, yeah it was him who set everything up causing Hunter to land in the hospital." I said to Janelle.
"Wow, that's crazy, why did he do that?" She asked.
"I still don't know." I replied.
"You know what, I'm not gonna worry about it, how's my son and mom doing?" I asked.
"We're doing great right now." She laughed.
"I'm tired." I said.
"Yeah me too." Said everyone.
"Well good night." Janelle and I said.
"Sleep well." They replied.
