Chapter 11. The Bore

Jack are Locke formulate a plan of defense against Ethan after he threatened to kill us if we don't hand over Claire of course we weren't going to do that.

They wouldn't let me help because in Jacks words "I'm just a kid" trust me I'm not, I had to grow up fast with I life I had.

They had captured Ethan, but Charlie let anger and revenge take over him and he killed him instead of letting Sayid question him. He thought killing Ethan would make him feel better when it doesn't...it never does. I'm worried about Charlie, killing changes a person, I've seen it happen.

Right now I'm sleeping peacefully which is very, very rare on this island when someone decideds to disturb.

"Hayley, Hayley" Sawyer wispers as he tries to shake me awake.

As a force of habit, I pull the knife Locke let me keep and put to his throat.

"Woah there tiger its just me"

"Sawyer you gave me a heart attack, what do you want?" I wisper yell at him

"There was a bore in my tent"

"What? Why would a bore be in your tent, they would never come that close"

"I don't know why it was in my tent but it was"

"So you woke me up to tell me a bore was harassing you"

"Yes"

I sigh as I go back to sleep and Sawyer goes back to his tent.

I'm sitting under a tree reading a sports magazine I found in Sawyers tent, its one of the only things on the island I haven't read. Sawyer comes over.

"Shorty"

"What?"

"I saw the bore again"

This time I can't help but laugh.

"Hey this isn't funny and bore is harassing me"

"What?" Kate ask as shes walking by

"Sawyer here thinks a bore is harassing him"

Now its Kates turn to laugh. Now Sawyer is standing here looking angry and a little embarrassed.

"Would you feel better if Kate and I help you track it"

"Yes, yes it would"

We track the bore and end up seeing it once but we lose it. We decided to make camp, I start a fire and I end up falling asleep with my head on Sawyers lap. According to Sawyer, him and Kate played a game called never have it ever while I was asleep but I did over hear one conversation before I fell asleep.

"Out of all the people you can become friends with on this island you befriend a 15 year old" Kate says

"What can I say she grew on me. She also need someone to protect and care for her because she never had anybody like that in her life before"

We are able to find to bore and Sawyer ends up killing it.

"Feel better?" I ask after he kills it

"Yep" He tells me

"Well at least now we have more food" I say as we head back to camp after an interesting two days
