I'm gonna have to go shopping because the rest of my clothes were burned, but for now I have to make due with what I have.

"Can you go get dressed please."

"Is this not dressed up for you?"

"Josh stop being a smart ass and go put some real clothes on."

"Okay okay, I love when you take charge." he winked at me and slapped my butt.

"I'm getting in the shower now."

I gave him a look that was filled with warning and with that I got my stuff and went to the bathroom. I don't know how I'm going to feel when I go back to work, am I going to be anxious, excited, sick or all three? The shower was such a relief, I felt dirty. It washed away all my emotions. When I got out I put on my clothes and slicked my hair up into a ponytail. I didn't bother putting make-up on. I went to sit in the living room so I could watch TV while Josh got ready.

I glanced out of the window and saw a moving truck unloading boxes.

"Who moved into that house?" I got up from the couch, turned off the TV, and walked out the door. It was breezy outside, which made me shiver, as I walked over towards the house. It was a beautiful yellow Victorian house, it was about 4 stories high and it was made for royalty. I walked onto the creaky wooden porch and knocked on the door. It took a while for someone to finally come to the door. I knew this person, I just couldn't think of where I knew them from.

"Hey, you're Paris right?," I gave him a confused look, trying to figure out how he knew my name" We met at the park in California."

"Oh you're that guy Jake, Jake Moore."

     "Yea, that's me." He smiled.

"What are you doing here in Philadelphia?"

"I got a new job as an English teacher at the high school."

      "How nice."

      "What do you do?"

      "I'm a waitress at Howl's dining spot."

"Well maybe I'll stop by once in a while."

      "Yea, you really should..."

      "Paris!"

I turned around to see Josh looking straight at me. I can tell he's pissed at me by the way he's making his way across the street.

"Why did you leave the house?"

"To greet our new neighbor. Josh this is Jake, Jake this is Josh."

"It's nice to meet you man." Jake said holding out his hand.

"Paris get in the truck, we have to go."

        "I'll see you around Jake."

I went over to the truck, got in and slammed the door. Josh opened the driver's door and got in.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You were acting like a total asshole to him."

"Well I wouldn't have been an asshole if you had stayed in the house."

"For Christ sake I wanted to see who moved in to the freaking house!"

When I finished yelling at him there was a sharp pain in my side, which told me that I needed to stop arguing.
