Chapter four

Alex's pov
"Let's take a break!" Shawn groaned. I sighed and checked my phone. It was already ten. "We really have to stay here till seven in the morning?" I said and he nodded. "Want a snack?" He asked "what you got?" I said and he smirked and opened his book bag that was full with snacks.

"Shawn! This has high cholesterol written all over it." I laughed as he handed me mini Oreos and a small water bottle. I thanked him and he grabbed a bag of chips. "I'm bored." I said. "Let's play a game." He said and stood up and looked around the room. "Bingo!" He said and saw a yard stick. He ripped a piece of paper out of his notebook and crumbled it up.

"Let's play baseball." He said I looked around and saw the classroom was pretty big so I nodded. "Wait what if someone sees us?" I said. He walked towards the door and pulled down a curtain that was on top of the door to cover the whole thing. "There, now let's play!" He said and gave me the stick. "Ready?" He asked and I nodded.

He threw the ball and I hit it across the room. I ran to the desk by the door then to the teachers desk and I tried running to the closet but Shawn grabbed me. "Stop! Cheater!" I said and he let me go and turned me around then pinned me against the closet. We stood there with our lips close to each other's and I looked him in the eyes and he looked me in mine. I saw him leaned in and I pushed him back and ran to home. "I win!" I said and he rolled his eyes.

I heard a phone go off. I walked over to where we were charging our phones. "It's you." I said and tossed him his phone. He caught it and groaned. "I have to go meet A, I can tell her that we can meet up later if you want?" He said "no, go. It's fine. I'll just be on my phone." I said "are you sure?" He asked and I nodded. "Alright. See you when I'm back. Don't eat all the snacks." He said "no promises." I laughed.

He left and I sighed. I decided to take this opportunity to nap. I pulled out a blanket that I packed along with a mini pillow stuffed inside of it. I laid down on the floor and closed my eyes.

I woke up around three in the morning and I gasped and looked next to me and saw Shawn. "Morning." He said "why didn't you wake me?" "You looked peaceful. I didn't want to wake you up." He said "well. I'm up. I'm hungry." "I made sandwiches. I snuck into the teachers lounge and found supplies." He said and handed me one. "Just the way you like." He said and I raised an eyebrow and unwrapped it and saw it was a toasted turkey and cheese. "How'd you know?" I said "Brie." He said and I smiled.

"So whats the deal with you and Brie? How come you guys don't get along." "I try to get along with her, as friends, but she pushes me away." "How come?" I asked "it's...complicated." He said. He handed me a new water bottle. "I'm hoping we get to be friends after this. You're really cool." He said and I smiled "thanks." I said and he nodded. "So what'd you and A do? Did you kiss?" "Actually.. I went and ended things with her." "Really? How come?" I asked "just not looking for a relationship right now." He said and I nodded.

"She's a nice girl, but I just don't see myself with her." He said and I nodded. "What about you? Are you in a relationship?" "I was.. until I moved. I ended things with my girlfriend of 2 years." I said "oh you're..." He said "I'm bisexual. I'm not gay." I said and he nodded. "That's cool." He said and I nodded. "What type of people are you into?" He said "people who are fun, not clingy, and has a nice personality." I said "so in other words.. me?" He said and I looked at him "you're flirting again." I said "I'm not. I'm simply just asking a question." He said. "Seriously. If I were to ask you out on a date. Would you let me?" He asked "I don't know. You haven't asked me yet." I said

"Well then, Alex Ventura.. will you go on a date with me?" He said and I thought about it for a minute "no." I said "no? You just told me to ask you out." "You just broke up with your girlfriend. You can't automatically ask another girl out. That's not right." I said taking a sip of my water bottle. "You're difficult to work with." He said and I shrugged. I looked at my phone and saw it was now 4:30 am. I looked at Shawn "you're staring." "I'm admiring." He said and I rolled my eyes. "You're very beautiful." "You're flirting." "I know. I can't help it. You're very beautiful." He said tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear and rested his palm on my face.
