Ame's POV
Its been three days since I was 'dragged' here, and the little idiot, who I now know is named Tatsumi, still hasn't decided to join Night Raid or not.
For me, I could care less. My vengeance is over and done with, I have nothing else to do... Nowhere else to go... No more family to return to. So I said to the blonde, Leone, 'why not' and shrugged my shoulders.
Leone has already dragged me around the base and introduced me to everyone. Right now, she's doing the same with Tatsumi.
I'm currently sitting in the room they gave me. It's small, but cozy and has a nice view of the forest from a small window. There wasn't much in the simple room, but I like it that way.
The old-wood bed was big enough for maybe two, since I don't really roll around in my sleep, there's also an oak wood closet, and a dark framed full-body mirror.
My bag's hanging on one of the hooks that are on the wall next to the door.
Night has fallen and I was about to make my way to the bathroom, or at least look for it, when someone knocked on my door.
I opened the door to fine Akame. "Our boss is back and said to gather." Was all she said before walking away.
I closed my room door and followed after her, I still only memorized part of the base and I don't want to get lost anytime soon. It won't take long for me to memorize though, having a photographic memory is fairly helpful in these types of cases.
The boss was a lady with short silver hair and an eyepatch covering over one of her purple eyes, or what was once a purple right eye. She also had a mechanical right arm.
"So, you must be the other one that Leone recruited." She looked at me, her question sounding more like a statement. "What's your name?"
I hesitated for a few seconds before speaking. "....Ame... (雨 aa-may)"
She nodded before continuing on with the meeting and trying to convince Tatsumi to join, which in the end they did.
I'm now walking with Tatsumi back to our rooms. My room is only one turn away from the boys' room section so we ended up having to walk back together since everyone else had to finish up with whatever.
There was nothing but sweet silence as we walked but the little idiot decided to speak. "Um... Ame-san, why did you decide to join so easily?" He asked nervously.
I let out a sigh but answered nonetheless. "I have nothin else to do anymore. I guess the elder was right..." My bangs shadowed over my eyes as I continued to speak. "...Revenge is nothing but empty emotions... because once it's fulfilled, there is nothing left for the victor..." And with that, I went into me room, closing the door before he could speak.
Tatsumi's POV
Ame-san went straight into her room after she answered my question, not giving me anytime to speak another word.
'She's quite mysterious... and a bit strange.' I thought as I continued to walk back to my room.
No One's POV
The next day, Tatsumi and Ame helped out with the cooking, since the two are partnered up with Akame who's in charge of cooking all the meals.
Akame spent most of the time snacking on the food whiles Tatsumi did most of the cooking. Ame just cut up everything and served the food, and the seconds.
