The Promise Ring // 2jae

Chapter 4

It was already 7:30 in the morning and Jaebum still hasn't woken up for school, which stared at 8 btw. 15 minutes later, he rises up from his slumber, pulling out his phone to check the time, receiving a shocked face in return.

"Shit I'm gonna be late! Why didn't my fucking alarm clock go of- ..oh yea." Jaebum snapped at himself, cutting himself off at the realization that he broke his alarm clock yesterday so obviously that's why it didn't go off.

Jaebum was too depressed to do anything yesterday, only managing to sleep, eat and mope around all day. Heck, he didn't even want to go to school, but he knew he'd be in trouble with his parents if he didn't attend. When one is absent, ones parents are called and notified, so even though Jaebum's parents were away, they'd still be informed of his absent. If he decided to ditch, his mom would be worried sick, since she wasn't there in America
to see what was going on, and he couldn't do that to his mother. He loved and respected her so much. Same thing goes for his dad, except he wasn't as protected and strict over him as Jaebum's mom was.

Jaebum quickly got dressed, brushed his teeth and hair, and went out the door, swinging his backpack on. He took the car keys out of his smaller backpack pocket and started up the engine. His mom had left him her car to use, until she and her husband returned.

It was a good thing Jaebum didn't live fat from school, or that would of been bad.

Meanwhile with Youngjae

Youngjae barely got any sleep last night. He was too worried and anxious to think that he could be wearing Jinyoung's ring.

You might be wondering why Youngjae seems so afraid at the thought of Jinyoung, and that's because a year ago, Youngjae was bullied very badly by him for being gay. Kinda ironic how he was bullied for being gay, when Park Jinyoung himself is gay. He knew he was gay at the time but didn't want to accept it, so he made fun of others who were gay because everyone else saw it as a "negative," so he did too so no one would suspect him. He never wanted to be labeled as gay, because he knew he'd be treated just like he treated Youngjae, which is why he never came out and continued his straight act. That all stopped up until he met Jaebum and that's when he decided to come out.

Now that Jinyoung and Jaebum were broken up, Youngjae was scared Jinyoung would start bullying him again out of anger and sadness. Also, if he had ever found out Youngjae had his ring.

Youngjae managed to finally convince himself that the whole thing was all coincidental. A guy who looked similar to Jinyoung hyung was crying and threw a ring away, on the same day Jinyoung and Jaebum had broken up. Yeah. That's what happened.

Youngjae really loved his ring and was gonna continue wearing it to school, even if his conclusion was wrong. He liked it to much and wanted to show it to his best friends Bambam and Yugyeom.

Meanwhile school had finally started and Jaebum headed to his first period, which was pe. Coincidentally, the younger also had pe first period. And coincidentally they shared the same class and coincidentally, so did Jinyoung.

Jaebum and Youngjae never really spoke, mainly because they never felt the need to. They are two different people. Jaebum, a popular, edgy bad boy and Youngjae, who was a shy, but cute unpopular kid.

Honestly, everyone only saw Jaebum as "the edgy bad boy" simply because of his appearance. Nobody knew the real Jaebum, except for Mark and well, Jinyoung. The Jaebum that's actually a really sweet and romantic guy. The Jaebum that would never cheat or hurt his significant other in any way possible. The Jaebum who's been hurt so much, he hides behind a "bad boy" image to hide his insecurities.

You'd wonder how someone like Jaebum would be so popular in school, since he only really has one friend. Well the reason to that is mainly because of his image, not to mention that he's indlcredibly hot.
