Chapter 7

~Dakota's P.O.V~

I must of fell asleep after the nurse left my room. I woke up when she came back and checked up on me. "It has been a hour since you have been here do you want me to let your visitor." I nodded 'I wonder who came and visited me I don't have any relatives that lived in the state. Who is it?'

My thought was ended by a soft knock on the door as it was being pushed open. I turned my head in that direction and it was Violet's parents. They looked as they have been crying the both looked at me with sad eyes and sad expressions. "Hey, Dakota how are you feeling?" "I took the pad and paper that was laying at the end of my bed and wrote I am doing okay my throat hurts. How's Violet? I held up the piece of paper and as soon as her mother read it she burst in tears and left the room. "Dakota Violet is alive but she will be paralyzed from the waist down..." a tear streamed down his face as he said it. I started crying and he said that "She will be okay but she won't finish senior year at school. We will be home schooling her even though there is a month left."

I didn't know what to think all I can do is cry. He hugged me bye and I heard another knock as two people I would never expect to come and see me. I looked in disbelief that Jake Pitts and Andy Biersack were standing in my hospital room. They waved to snap me out of my gaze. Jake spoke "Hi Dakota how are you feeling?" I held up the same piece of paper that o showed Violet's parents scribbling out the last part.

"I am sorry. Is this your phone?" he handed me mine and Violet's small purse she carried everywhere. I nodded as I was nodding I began to cry hard. They looked at me with confusion, apparently they didn't find out what happened to Violet. Andy moved to the other side of my bed opposite of Jake and gave me a hug. I hugged back the hug was interrupted by Andy's phone going off . Andy left the room which left me and Jake in the room. "Andy was the one that called the police," he paused looking at me in admiration "How old are you Dakota" I picked up the piece of paper and wrote I will be 18 in two days. He nodded and asked a different question "where are your parents?" but he quickly apologized for the question. I answered the question anyway I have no clue yesterday I came home with a note to me from my parents that they might be back in a couple of months. He looked sad as he read the paper.

"Do you work?" I nodded. He looked a little happier but not to much. I thought it was weird that I was answering I didn't care really what people though about that my parents leave me by myself. I can manage by myself at least that I thought there is sometimes were I know that I can't do things by myself. Jake's face still seemed really concerned that I had parents,but lived alone. I looked down at my phone and checked. I had 10 new twitter and instagram followers. Jake looked at me with concern I didn't know that I like that he was looking at me like that. Shortly Andy walked in and noticed that there was silence. "I am sorry that was the rest of the band they said they are coming to see you guys, it hurts us all that to know that two of our fans were in a accident." I looked down at my hand as a tear escaped my eye.
