The wolf coughed loudly, crimson drops splattering the ground. One pup noticed this, squirming into her warmth and pushing their face into her fur. The other didn't notice and nursed itself, drinking from its mother in blissful ignorance.

The she-wolf sighed, allowing her pups to nurse, staring at her pups and wishing she could stay longer. This state of emotion wasn't allowed to stay long, though, as she burst into another fit of coughing. The older pup looked up at its mother, eyes closed but seeming wise and knowing still. The younger snuggled into their mother's warmth, breathing evenly, and chest rising and falling in a steady beat. The older pup laid down its small head between its paws. It was a bit larger than it was supposed to be, while the younger pup was of a smaller size. Two other pups laid scattered, still as the night they weren't able to ever see.

Another pang rang through the mother as she stared down at her pups. The grass, once green, was now dyed a bright red in some places. After yet another coughing fit, the mother spoke.

"You are both beautiful.." She began in a raspy voice, but she cut off as she burst into another coughing fit. ".. Pups, but I'm afraid I can't stay with you for long." She looked at her pups for a while, not speaking for at least a minute, but then she coughed again and knew she had to speed up her goodbye.

"I love you both from the bottom of my heart, and although it may be changed by whoever takes care of you after I'm inevitably gone, I believe you two deserve names." She burst into a coughing fit once more, and sped up her voice. The wolf didn't have much time.

Nudging her older pup, her raspy voice sounded yet again. "You, my dearest, will be named Scorch. You will take care of those of whom you love, be it your brother or a different friend of yours, your adoptive parents, etc. You will be a guardian angel, and take in those who you trust with open.. Arms.. Legs.. Whatever." The female sort of trailed off, chuckling awkwardly before bursting into another coughing fit.

She sped up her voice again, nudging the smaller, sleeping pup. "You will be named Koko. You will make those around you happy and be their little angel, per s-" She coughed once more. "-say. You will be the peacemaker, and make sure your friends won't get into trouble." She managed to give a small smile to her little angels, before moving into another coughing fit.

Weakly, she lowered her head. Koko put his tiny paws on the mother's muzzle, whimpering. The she-wolf smiled, touching her snout to his. "I will see you two in heaven, little ones." She whispered, and lowered her head to the ground to rest.

Fireball smiled at the tiny little angel in her jaws. It was a female, colored tan with little wings. It was a petite little thing, it's small frame quite fluffy. It sort of looked like Fireball, too! Fireball was a bright, flaming red with orange flecks in her pelt, and a neon yellow underside, too. Her eyes were a bright emerald green, yellow flecks dancing in them. Her figure was slender more than it was petite, actually, but eh! Not only that, she also had these large wings, a wingspan of about five feet (Hah! They were big), like Dawn (just they were a lot smaller for now, since she was so young). Fireball wished for two children, and she had already grown quite attached to this little thing named Dawn. She sort of worried for her. Fireball wasn't actually really the best hunter nor fighter, so she wasn't sure whether she would be able to provide for her. Fireball still was determined to care for the little female!

Fireball slowly came to a stop as she noticed tiny whimperings sounding. Looking to the side, she saw a large, dark female. She had a slender, graceful figure, jet black fur rippling over her slender frame. She had a clean white underside and hazel markings all over her, her eyes closed. Sadly, the looks of the female didn't really matter. Red was splattered around the grass, giving a horrible scene. Blood trickled down the female's jaw, and Fireball gave a small gasp as she saw two pups, of which were dead. Running over, she saw none had wounds. It wasn't an attack. The pups' fur was still shining with the mother's saliva, pelts ruffled.
