Chapter 2.
I was a nervous wreck, every few minutes, or at a stop light, I would check myself over, hoping that I didn't look like a complete idiot. Thousands of possible scenarios made there way into my head. What if hes super sexy? What if hes ugly?! What if I trip and land on him!
I tried my best not to think of the worst, but they popped up in my brain anyway. I parked into my parking spot in front of my house and took a long deep breath. I can do this. I got out of my car and straightened up. I walked briskly to my door and fiddled around in my purse for my keys. When I opened the door I saw probably the sexiest, handsomest guy I've ever imagined. AND I HAVE HIM AS MY NEIGHBOR. I mentally jumped up and down like a teenager. He smiled at me and revealed his white straight teeth. He had black tousled hair that took its own direction, his eyes were the color of caramel drizzled on whipped cream, he had perfect muscles and he had strong broad shoulders. I was to busy checking him out, deep in thought when I heard Allie scream,
"MOMMY!" She started running towards me and giggled excitedly as spun her around in my arms.
"Hey Allie baby, did you have fun with Gregg?" I stroked her cheek and she nodded her head enthusiastically.
"Greggy played Barbie with me!" she giggled, and I started to giggle too. The shock then hit me that Gregg was still standing there, probably feeling left out.
"Oh my-" I put Allie down, "I'm so sorry, I'm Kassidy." I held my hand out.
When our hands connected an electric current passed through me,
"Gregg." He said.
He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"So, I guess you can go, sorry for wasting your time." I looked down at my feet.
"No, no, I'm glad I could help a beautiful women like you." He half smiled at me, and I beamed up.
"Thanks." I said.
"No problem. Hey um, would you like to go out to eat sometime? Like maybe tomorrow night?" She rubbed the back of his neck and looked down.
I smiled even wider, "Yea, that would be nice."
He looked up with hopeful eyes.
After that we exchanged numbers and talked for a while. Finally at 10pm he left and walked over to his house. I put Allie to bed after dinner and laid on my bed in my pajamas happier than a nerd with glasses. I finally thought to myself before I drifted off to sleep, I hope it works.
