Bridge Jumpers

The words still rang in Kassie's ears, even though a few days have passed.

'One will change a chosen to light, the other will choose the dark, to keep loved ones safe, though one is lost to light.'

"Kassie!" She snaps outta her daze.

"Sorry, John. What did you need?" She asks looking up from the shelf she's been organizing.

"Lavender Therapeutic oils." He says.

"We're almost out but Olivia and Cherish are on that. I'll go get some from the back." She says getting up from the floor. She peeks her head into the oils room and Olivia and Cherish are mixing different oils.

"Any lavender oils? John needs 'em." She says and Olivia hands her five little dropper bottles of Lavender.

"Thanks." She walks back out to the main floor and hands John the bottles. He hand one to a boy. He smiles at her and leaves.

"Anything else I can do? I gotta start my muscle rubs and that won't be done for a good four hours." She says and he shakes his head.

She goes to the pantry room grabbing her ingredients and starting her batch of muscle rub.

The day worn on as the girls crammed into the Oils room.

"Alright girls, I'm leaving. Behave." John says jingling his keys as he waved.

"See ya." Kassie says smiling.

They waited for the front door to jingle as he left.

As the door jingled closed, Cherish turned up the music, and starts dancing.

They made their quota of oils and rubs.

"There was a cute guy in the shop today." Kassie says playing with a empty dropper bottle. the girls look at her.

"And how are you and Mikey?" Cherish asks and kassie rolls her eyes, "All I said was that he was cute.." but she knew it was more than that. He was stucking her mind.

"Kassie, please. That wasnt just a converstaion starter, it was a statement." Olivia says picking up her extra oils, "Spill." she says wiping down her counter.

"It's just he caught me off gaurd," she says, breathing out. "He was buying the Lavender Oils."

"Dont mess up what you have with Mikey for Lavender boy.." Cherish says patting Kassie's leg. The sound of motorcycles rumble over the music and Olivia perks up and runs to the doors. Knowing the boys would follow Olivia in, Cherish and Kassie stayed in the Oils room. Kassie hopped onto one of the counters as Cherish danced. Soon the familiar jingle sounded from the front and they heard Olivia and the boys.

As soon as Mikey walked in Kassie smiles. Lavender Boy fading from her mind.

"Hey, babe." He says kissing her cheek.

"So we have an idea." Ashton says picking up a bottle and smelling it.

"Oh?" Olivia says taking away the bottle.

"Aelfric says there are some light Fays in town. He just wants us to scope, so we thought we could use one or both of you as bait." Ashton says taking Olivia's hand.

"Is that safe?" Cherish asks.

"They have been training for 4 weeks now. And a couple of days with the swords and Fay blades. I think they are ready." Luke says comforting her.

Kassie looks at Mikey. She knew when Mikey was uncertain about something and it showed on his face now. He hadn't planned this, it was Ashton and Luke.
