Jeon Eunseo, a little girl who was just barely two years old, cried loudly from her spot in the alleyway. It was dark, she was cold, and most importantly, she was hungry. She hadn't eaten in two-three days, minimum. Her favourite purple dress that was way too small was wet, as well as the small pink fluffy quilt (even though it wasn't quite as fluffy now). She had been thrown out in a box, just like trash. Even though she didn't understand what it was, she felt betrayed. Hurt.
Her screaming lasted for hours upon hours, until she'd finally exhausted herself enough to lose consciousness, huddled up in the corner of the quite large cardboard box. She tried to pull the wet quilt over her before she did but simply didn't have the energy to. The last things she remembered happening around her were the sound of cars zooming by and people yelling, presumably for a mother or father to quiet down their child.
She remained unconscious for ten hours, and when she finally woke up again she immediately noticed how the box was broken.
She could get out.
That's what she did.
Wrestling her way out of the box and successfully getting her knees to bleed on the concrete, she started to cry again. But now she was starting to become determined. Grabbing her quilt, since she loved it, she set out on a journey to find her oppa and eomma again.
She made it to the park, which was three kilometres away before she had to sit down and rest. She did so on a bench near the small river, enjoying the sounds of the running water. To her, it had been ages ago since she heard any sounds other than the cars or people screaming. She laid down on the bench to rest, closing her eyes and snuggling up with the quilt.
Accidentally having fallen asleep again, she found herself waking up late at night, far too late for a little child to be up. As she sat up, she felt scared, hugging her quilt tightly.
"Oppa?" she asked, her voice small and frail. She wrapped her quilt around herself as if it would protect her from harm. She was quietly crying, her hands shaking as she got down from the bench. She started walking, drying her tears as she searched. She was searching for anyone who wouldn't hurt her, and possibly give her food and water. After all, it had been about half a week since she last ate or drank anything at all.
When she finally saw someone walking, she approached them. Stopping them by hugging their leg, she held on for dear life.
"Oppa," she cried, looking up at the man who she'd taken hold of.
He looked to be between eighteen and twenty, and his name was Jungkook. Though Eunseo didn't know. He was very confused as he looked down at her.
"Oppa," she cried again, sobbing into his pant leg. Jungkook didn't really know what to do. He gently removed the girl's hands and sat down on his knees in front of her. She brought one of her hands up to her eye, the one that wasn't being held by the brown-eyed stranger, and dried the tears there.
"What's wrong? Did you lose your oppa?" he asked her, trying to sound as kind as possible. Eunseo nodded, a little hick leaving her.
"It's so late out, though... when did you lose him?" he tried to calm her down, but she had now started crying so much that she could no longer answer his question.
Jungkook let out an oof as Eunseo threw her arms around his neck, crying into it.
"Oppa," that was the only thing she'd said so far. He gently hugged her back after a few seconds, rubbing small circles on her back to calm her.
After a while, she calmed down. When she'd done so, the man pulled away. This allowed Eunseo to study his face more. The first thing she noticed was the plain black mouth-mask he wore to cover the bottom half of his face. His skin was spotless, and Eunseo immediately found herself being drawn to his dark brown eyes. His brown hair gently moved to the rhythm of the wind, as he put his hand on her cheek. She gently nuzzled it, before she went to hug him again.
He gently hugged back, and before she knew it, Eunseo had fallen asleep yet again. This time in his arms.
The man realized this and stood up. From here, he started wandering around the park, still not knowing what to do. After about ten minutes, he finally pulled up his phone to call Jin for help.
"Hello?"
"Jin, I uh- I need advice."
"Huh? What did you do this time?"
"If I was to- uh- say I found a baby in the park, and she thinks I'm her oppa and is now asleep in my arms?"
"You what?! You have to return her to her parents! They must be worried sick!"
"Jin, I can't! I don't know who or where her parents are!"
After some more arguing, Jin allowed Jungkook to bring Eunseo back home with him.
After about fifteen minutes, Jungkook gently opened the door with a squeak. Inside, he saw the other six members. They'd been waiting for him.
"I seriously thought Jin was joking," J-hope said when he saw Eunseo.
No one was really sure on what to do, but the seven boys immediately started discussing on what action to take from here.
