Chapter 9

(Your POV)

You- "Eeeeeekkk!!! N-no!! Get away from me!!!"

I struggled to try and reach the rope tied around my ankle while trying to avoid falling into the Sea King's mouth. It just stood there, staring at me with its mouth open slightly.

You- "SOMEONE HELP ME!! PLEASE!! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?!?!?!"

I didn't see anyone when I went on deck before I fell overboard so I'm pretty sure no one could hear me now.

At this point I started to have tears rolling down my eyes. Is this how I will die? Am I never going to see my family and friends again? Is this my punishment for being mean to the man that saved me?

I cursed myself for thinking that I can escape this ship that's in the middle of the ocean in one piece. I can't even sneak out from the window without messing it up.

I even started to regret making the decision of leaving Absalom, I was alot safer up there than down here. And he truly has done alot for me but my ignorance got the better of me. And now here I am, about to be devoured by a Sea King and its all because I kept pushing him away.

I felt that the rope is starting to wiggle and loosen from where its tied up on the deck and I saw that the Sea King has noticed as well.

The Sea King started to open its mouth wider and its like I saw my life flash before my eyes. I started to think about my family and friends, my mother and father and that damn captain that took me from my happiness.

I swore that day that I would go back home. I swore that I would escape this ship. And I swore that I would marry when I am in love, but how can I?

The rope must've snapped from its knot before I started to fall, getting closer to the Sea King.

I didn't even have the strength the scream anymore, so I just shut my eyes tightly and waited for death.

But it never happened.

(Absalom's POV)

(Y/n)- "Eeeeeekkk!!! N-no!! Get away from me!!!"

I need to hurry up and get my bride out of harm's way. My Clear-Clear power helped me climb up to the deck without being seen. If the Sea King saw me, it would've probably tried to eat me too.

(Y/n)- "SOMEONE HELP ME!! PLEASE!! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?!?!?!"

My bride must be scared, and as her future husband I must do whatever it takes to keep her safe, I have to.

I quickly make my way over to the rope that's keeping my (y/n) from falling into the ocean but by the time I grabbed it, the knot holding it in place started to undo.

I looked down at (y/n) and noticed that the Sea King opened its mouth more, like it knew that (y/n) would fall soon.

I tried to grab onto the rope to pull (y/n) up but the rope was soaking wet. I couldn't get a good grip on it and my bride slipped further down.

If I could've tighten the knot on the other end then I would have more time to pull her up but the Sea King is too close to (y/n).

I knew a solution to stall the Sea King, but it could expose me. I didn't want to do this, but right now I am all out of options.

I looped the rope around my hands and used my Clear Clear ability on it and in an instant both the rope and (y/n) turned invisible.

The Sea King suddenly closed its mouth and stared at where (y/n) used to be. It almost looked like it was confused because it just stood there like it didn't know what to do.
