Draco thought about how everything fit into place. "Are we going to tell her?" he wondered.
"She's been keen on trying to figure it out herself. I don't want her hard work to go to waste if we tell her. I say we should let her find out on her own," Hermione proposed.
"Okay lets do that, but we should try to make it easier for her without her knowing," Draco added.
"You should come over more often so Amy could get used to you, well, even more used to you," Hermione chuckled.
"Sure. But Hermione, I have one question- why didn't you tell me?" Draco asked.
"Err...well...back at Hogwarts, you weren't really my...favorite...you could say. I thought you would either taunt me about it and not care or take my baby away from me." Tears started to come down Hermione's cheeks. Draco wiped her cheek with his thumb.
"I'd never do that. First of all, I've changed after the war. I'm not the same jerk you saw at Hogwarts. And second of all, I know I used to be a jerk, but I wouldn't stoop as low as to not take responsibility. It takes two to create a child," Draco whispered, their foreheads together.
"Okay Draco. Thank you," Hermione responded, embracing Draco with a tight hug.
Draco, shocked, only hesitated for a second before hugging her back. "Now I know who Amora got her hugs from." They both laughed.
Draco's hugs are so sweet. It's like I fit right into his arms. His words are also so comforting. He's really changed. I like this new Draco...
"And this is why I love you," Draco murmured into the hug. Stunned, Hermione pulled back.
"What?"
Draco blushed, realizing that he spoke his thoughts aloud. "Err...that I...err...love...you?" Draco winced, as if expecting a hit from Hermione.
"Well. I don't love you, but I like you. Maybe go to love one day, but for now, like." Hermione then kissed Draco until it turned into a snog session.
"Be my girlfriend, Hermione?"
"Always."
