Perfection For Us (Bleach Story) Ch.32 Valentine's Day

It was the holiday every boy feared, Valentine’s Day. Now this……was one of the first years Toshiro worried about what to get for a girl. He knew that Ishi wasn’t the type to go for expensive things without meaning. They always had to mean something. He sighed as he went into the flower shop. He remembered the flowers that Ishi claimed her favorite. He went in and ordered the bouquet. Awe how sweet a little boy getting a present for his valentine. The woman behind the counter thought as she nodded. Then Toshiro left. He for some reason could just feel the woman getting the wrong idea about his age. He sighed and just kept walking. “Toshiro!” a voice called. He turned and Ishi. The girl smiled brightly at him. Toshiro returned the smile. Ishi walked up beside him and grabbed his hand. “Let’s have lunch together today.” She said. Toshiro nodded.

Renji on the other hand was having a much more difficult time getting a gift. Hizume didn’t like to talk about herself much so he was at a loss. Though he knew that captain Soifon and Hizume were close. He rapped on said captain’s door. “Come in!” came Soifon’s sharp voice. Renji walked in. “Captain Soifon I need your advice on something.” He said. “What is it?” Soifon asked not looking up from her paperwork. “Uh……..do you know what Hizume would like for Valentine’s Day?” He asked. Soifon looked up. “I do why?” she said. “She doesn’t talk much about herself so I really am clueless.” Renji sighed. Soifon nodded. “Hizume isn’t one for flowers but she does love dogs.” Soifon said. Renji then got a brilliant idea. “Thank you captain!” he said running off. Soifon blinked and shrugged she didn’t know what she did but she was happy whatever it was.

Rangiku, Momo, and Rukia all gawked at how perfect Ishi and Hizume’s chocolates were for Byakuya and Soifon. They told them they’ve always given everyone important to them home made chocolates. “Can you help us?” Rukia asked. Hizume and Ishi nodded. “So are you giving some to Toshiro and Renji too?” Momo asked. Then her bowl exploded. “Too much heat.” Ishi said spitting out hot chocolate. “And yes we are.” Hizume said as she wiped her face with the back of her sleeve. “Trying doing it a little cooler Momo.” Ishi said as she began to clean up she was going to do Toshiro’s after she got rid of the others. After about 15 failed attempts each they eventually got the chocolate decent. Hizume and Ishi were the ones stuck cleaning up while Rukia, Rangiku, and Momo ran off delivering the chocolates that everyone would get to open tomorrow. Afterwards Hizume left with a good-bye. She had finished Renji’s earlier. Ishi worked carefully on the chocolate and was done late in the night. She smiled as she finished setting the last one in the box.

Toshiro hadn’t sent his gift nor had he received a gift from Ishi. There was timid knock. “Come in.” he called. Ishi stepped in with a box behind her back. “Like at the Christmas party I wanted to give this to you in person.” She said meekly as she held out the white heart shaped box that had blue stars on it with a silver ribbon tied around it in a bow. Toshiro stood up and took it and he handed her a box with a clear top. Ishi gasped when she saw what was inside. It wasn’t roses she almost absolutely hated them. Instead it was bright red tulip, a few blue bells, and some daffodils. Her three favorite flowers. She smiled and kissed his cheek. Toshiro opened the box to find white chocolate rose buds.  “Try one,” Ishi urged. Toshiro did. The filling was fudge that was delicious. “This was handmade?” he asked. Ishi nodded meekly. Toshiro smiled, “There’ good.” Ishi giggled and reached out and wiped the chocolate out of the corner of his mouth. “You’re so sweet.” She said as she hugged him. “Happy valentine’s day.” They said at the same time.

Renji held the squirming form in his arms. Then Hizume knocked, “can I come in?” she asked. He set the form down and said, “Come in.” the instant she walked in a brown puppy with white paws jumped up at her and barked, or tried. Hizume fell to her knees. “Awwwww!!!” she said taking the puppy in her arms as she set the chocolate on the bed. “Happy valentine’s day.” Renji said. Hizume was cuddling with the puppy as she looked up superbly happy. “He’s my present?” she asked in a squeal. Renji nodded. Hizume reached over. “Here” she said. The box was red with golden bow on it. The box had curly darker red swirls. Renji opened it. Inside was his favorite kind of chocolate. “I made it for you.” Hizume said scratching her new puppy behind the ears. Renji smiled as he popped in his mouth. “They’re delicious.” He said. Hizume blushed a little and said, “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
