Vampire Academy in Dimitris POV Chp.4

Lunch was finished so I had to get to my next charge. Which was continuing to stand in a classroom doing nothing. How exciting ! ( note sarcasm ) So for the rest of the classes, I just stood there. In some classes, Rosemary had, so I used that time to asses her and see how she acted. One that caught my attention was her 5th period class which was right after lunch. She had Animal Behavior and Physiology. I thought she would like it, since all the other kids did. But her, she looked bored to death. It almost appear like if she wasn't even there. Sereously, how did she even pass first grade ? Guess there's no way to find out.

I also had her for her second to last period, which was Moroi Culture 4. Nothing really changed. Kids were paying attention. Not her. Kids were talking. Not her. Kids were doing their work. Not her. Kids were tired. Not her. Kids were annoied. Absolutely her.

It was the last period if the day, I was anxious to get out. This would be the first training session I would have with Rosemary. She wasn't in my class, so I was left with nothing to do. Finally, school was over. I got out as fast as I could out of the classroom and headed to the gym.

There I waited. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. 15 minutes. 20 minutes. 25 minutes. 30 minutes. Where was she ??? It couldn't possibly take that long to get from her classroom to the gym. Did she forget ? No. She didn't look like the forgetting type. Though she did look like the talking type when it comes to friends. She's probably with Vassila. Worst, she's maybe with the Ashford kid. God, why did she have to be the fluting type ? And why did that kid have to be so in love with her ?

So I started walking around school looking for her. I saw the Castile, maybe he new where Rose was so I asked him.

" Do you know where Miss Hathaway is ?" I asked impatiently.

" Sure. I saw her talking to Lissa at the other side of school." he said. I didn't say anything to him after that. I just ran to the other side of the school. I saw Rosemary talking to Vassila. I aproched them without being notice by them.

" -Well see how this goes. If anything goes wrong-anything at all-we leave. No arguments." Said Rose to Vassila. They were planning to escape again ? What the hell ? I saw Vassila look at me, so I decided to act like if I didn't hear anything.

" Rose?" I asked, acting like I just got here. They both turned arounde and looked up at me.

" You're late for practice." I said evenly. Then I turned to Vassila and gave a polite nod. " Princess."

After that, me and Rose walked away. I was ready to get an explanation on why she was late.

" Why didn't you go straight to the gym after class ?" I asked. I was met by silence so I tried again.

" Rose. I should have to go and look for you. You need to be in time for practice." I said. I again wasnt responded.

" Rose. Tell me why you didn't go straight to practice. And this time be polite and answer." I said to get firmly. Nothing. That's all I got.

I turned around and notice that Rose wasn't behind me. She was standing in the middle of the academy. I walked up to her, ready to chastise her. But something was odd with her. She had the guardian look. But this time, her eyes were vacant. Like, if she wasn't in her body. I waved my hand in front of her to get her attention. Nothing. She didn't react. I did it againg and got nothing as a respond again.

" Rose?" I said her name to see if that would get her to focus. But no. She was still "vacant". I shook her softly and nothing again. I was starting to get worried. I shook her again, but this time a little harder. But nothing changed.

" Rose. Are you ok ?" I asked. Really concerned for her mental health. I shook her to more times but again, nothing changed. I looked at her right in the eye, there was no life in it. No spark. I mean, usually when I looked heron the eye, there was that spark. That little shiny spot that showed that she had emotions and that she was alive. But right now, there was nothing. It was like I was looking at the dead.

I shook her really hard this time and noticed something. She was back. That little spark in her eyes was back.

" Are you alright?" I asked frightens that she would go back to that state that she was a few seconds ago.

" I.....yeah I was.........I was with Lissa . I was in her head." she said that while putting her hand in her head. I was totaly confused in her head ? Was she crazy ?

" Her......head?" I tried to sound like it was normal. But it seems to me like I failed.

" Yeah. It's part of that bond." She said. Ok. It wasn't as weird as before now that I know it's part of the bond. But it's still........weird.

" Is she alright ?" I asked. A little less worried for the princess than for Rose.

" Yeah she's..............She's not in danger." Said Rose. So the princess was safe. But was Rose safe ? Was it safe for her to just abandone her body for like 15 minutes ? Did it affect her ?

" Can you keep going ?" I asked. If she said no, I would understand.

" Yeah. I'm fine." She said. It seemed to me like she wasn't comfortable around me. Weird. So after that. We started walking toward the gym again like if nothing had happened.
