Everyone on this page should have already completed all 32 chapters. If you have not, turn back now. This will contain SPOILERS about the book. Without further ado, let's jump right into this.
I've created some questions of my own to start this out. Feel free to ask me whatever you want pertaining to the book. You can also leave a critique on what parts you enjoyed and what parts I could improve. (I know I need to go back and edit. ) I originally had this for the very first version of this story, The Troubled Ones but I always thought this book discussion thing was cool and fun so I'm bringing it back.
1. Why did you choose to end the story like that?
A: I've never been a fan of those sappy happy endings, and I felt it would be cheap to do something like that to this story. I wanted to show Everly's feelings about vengeance and how she didn't believe Layla got the proper sentence. Unlike Emmett, her decision to kill Layla made her feel horrible. She almost considers it a mistake, but doesn't regret it or wish to take it back. I wanted to show she isn't a cruel person deep down, but she isn't perfect either. She shares some of her brother's ways. Also, I wanted to show how she feels similarly to Kaz about the ruthless killing. I kinda skipped a lot over that, but next time I want to really show them bond. I know I need to show more emotion and a better build up to everything next time around, but I feel like this slightly rushed ending is good for now. Nothing that needs an extreme redo.
2: Why did you write this story?
A: I always wanted to show Everly and Adam's lives more. That was my initial reasoning, and probably why the plot can seem a bit... Quickly put together sometimes. I went character driven on this one. Not sure if it was a good idea or a bad one, but I have to confess I have never loved writing a story as much as I did this one. Originally, both these characters were killed in The Troubled Ones. So happy they didn't this time around. xD Writing from Everly's pov has even encouraged me to want to write more female perspectives.
3: Do you plan for Everly and Adam to actually start a family? Will it brought up in the rest of the series, considering this story is now considered a spin-off?
A: Absolutely. I don't really mind spoiling this, honestly. I've actually seen people on here complain about the female protagonist having kids is a cliche. But I have a lot more in store for these two. Things won't be quite smooth sailing. 😅That's as much as I'll say.
A/N: Thank you all so much for reading. I hope the story was enjoyable to you in some way or form, despite the little issues I had. Can't wait to hear your thoughts and finally be able to mark this story as completed.😁
