He looked around the classroom, which was full of loud kids, and heaved a heavy sigh. He knew showing up to a new school mid year would be hard, but not this hard. Most of the girls were lookig at him, and whispering behind their hand to anyone who would listen. Dally tucked his hands into his hoodie pocket and pulled out his phone. He checked his Tumblr feed to see if anyone had actually posted anything worth reading.

Just as Dally put his phone away, the classroom door opened and the teacher walked in, and sat at their desk. The teacher, scanned the classroom as everyone began to settle down and go to their seat. "Hello! As you all may have noticed, we have a new student!" The teacher looked to Dally, smiling. "Why don't you come on up and introduce yourself!"

"Alright." Dally mumbled, getting up from his seat. Even though he was good looking, popular, and on the football team, Dally wasn't the best with people. He went to the front of the class and faced everyone. "Sup. I'm Dally Winston. I used to go to Bull Dogs High School, until recently, obviously," he let out a chuckle before continuing, "I like to play football, got to parties and draw. There isn't really anything interesting about me." He looked around the room, everyone was watching him.  His eyes stopped on a boy in the back, who looked like he was seriously intrigued in Dally.

"Well, I might as well tell you where you sit..." the teacher looked down on his desk and looked at the seating chart before speaking again, "Looks like I haven't given you a seat...choose where ever you want." As soon as the words left the teachers mouth, all the girls raised their hands, shouting "SIT WITH ME!"  Again, Dally scanned the room and decided to sit next to that kid in the back.

"Can I sit with you?" Dally asked the kid, who nearly fell out of his seat when he noticed him standing there. The kid nodded and took a moment to calm down. "I'm Dally. Well, I just told the whole class that, but ya know. Introductions and shit."

The girls groaned as he sat down and reached out to shake the kids hand. "I-I'm Nathan" The boy stuttered in a quiet Irish accent, shaking Dally's hand. Their hands lingered for a moment, before Nathan pulled out of the hand shake, his face a bit pink.

Dally opened his folder and pulled out a piece of paper, jotted his number down, and slid it to Nathan, who protested. "I'm a nerd. You don't want to hang out with me." Dally simply shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to put his number in Nathan's binder.

"You seem cool to me. You're the only person who looked like they wanted to get to know me just to be friends. All the girls want to get me in bed with 'em, and no thanks" Dally laughed a bit, which made Nathan laugh quietly.

The day went by slow, as if it would never end, but finally, the bell rang, and the day was over. As Dally walked to his locker, a few girls walked up to him.

"Hey, sugar. I'm Rayel. You look kinda cute." She said, trying to sound hot. Dally simply smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Sorry, I have better things to do than have sex with a girl who wants to use me." He said, opening his locker and pulling out his bag. He stuffed his books and binder into the bag and closed his locker. The girl spoke again.

"I'll make it worth your while." She purred into Dally's ear, making him uncomfortable. He backed away towards the exit.

"Sorry, hun. I don't date girls who reek of fish." Dally smiled, turned around and walked out of the building, and to the oak tree in the middle of campus where Nathan said to meet him. The courtyard was full of kids laughing and joking, and almost all of them watched as he walked by.

"Dally! I'm glad you actually showed up." A voice yelled. Dally looked over the crowed to see Nathan trying to push his way through the sea of people to reach him. With ease, Dally found Nathan's hand and pulled him through the crowed, his pale face a bit pink.

Once they made it to the tree, Dally let go and turned to Nathan, who was red in the face. "Are you okay?" He asked the Irish boy.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine. Why?"

"Well, youre blushing like crazy."

"W-What?! I am?"

Dally laughed and sat on the ground, his back against the tree. "So, why did you want to meet me here?" He asked, smiling. Nathan sat next to him, pulling out his phone.

"Well, It's kinda dumb. I just wanted to see if-" Suddenly, Nathan was cut off by a tennis ball that hit him in the head. He grabbed his head where it was hit, tears swelling in his eyes already.

"Ha! Nerd! Who are you hanging out with? Another nerd?" A Jock, with his 'sheep' following, walked towards the tree. Dally stood, and faced the jock, a look of anger on his face.

"No, actually, he's hanging out with previous quarter back of the Bull Dogs football team, a the current quarter back of the Goldstone Eagles." Dally stormed up to the Jock, who was easily 5 inches shorter than him. The group of kids following the Jock backed up a bit.

"D-Dally Winston? You mean the kid who won 6 district championships in 2 years?" The Jock stuttered, backing up a bit. Dally simply stared into the kids soul, making him back away.

"Leave Nathan alone, got it?" Dally said in a low voice, sounding intimidating. The Jock and his Sheep slinked away, saying nothing but obviously scared.  Right away, Dally turned back to Nathan, who was staring up at him with respect.

"Y-you didn't have to stand up for me, ya know. They bully me a lot." Nathan stood up, whipping the tears off his face before picking up his bag. Dally smiled and picked up his bag as well.

"If they pick on you again, you come tell me." Dally winked at Nathan before walking off. He stopped after a moment. "Want a ride home?" He asked, to which Nathan nodded and walked up beside him and they left to find Dally's car.

"Thank god it's Friday." Nathan mumbled, getting into the car.
