THE NEXT DAY, Caroline found Maddie and Jeremy both knocked out on the couch with playstation controllers in their hands. "Maddie! Wake up, we have have school." Caroline said and Maddie opened one eye. "I'm gonna miss this one." Maddie said and Caroline rolled her eyes, grabbing her ankles and pulling her.

Caroline dragged Maddie away from the couch she was on, but Maddie grabbed Jeremy's hand. "I think the fuck not you trick ass bitch" Maddie scoffed before Jeremy was pulled off the couch with her. "Maddie! Caroline!" Jeremy whined as the Forbes girl dragged the two Gilbert's up the stairs.

Maddie was boiling with anger. How dare Caroline wake her up, drag her upstairs, change her clothes for her, tie her down to a chair and do her hair and makeup before throwing her in the car and taking off. Jeremy didn't argue, he was lucky Maddie even allowed him here in Beacon Hills.

They parked up only to have a blue jeep pull up next to them. Maddie wanted to avoid them, she didn't want them to see her weak. She didn't like it. Maddie sighed as she sunk further into her seat. "Maddie, wanna tell me why you're practically molding yourself into that seat?" Jeremy asked and Maddie shook her head. "No, not really." Maddie said, sinking further.

"Okay how about you tell me why you are so hell bound to stay at home?" Jeremy ordered and Maddie looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "I'm older, only I can order you." Maddie told him and Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Okay, then why is the hot dorky guy looking at you worryingly?" Jeremy asked and Maddie finally turned her head to see Scott and Caroline in a conversation and Stiles looking at her like she had just fallen off a cliff.

"Oh my god! They look at me like I just ran through fire!" Maddie exclaimed. "You should be use to it by now. The gang back home do this all the time." Jeremy told her and she shook her head with a laugh.

"Yeah, to Elena. Not me. I don't want to be looked at like I'm broken Jeremy! I don't want to be broken! I am not Elena!" Maddie snapped and Jeremy frowned. "Maddie, there's always going to be a part of us that's broken. It's always going to hurt, but we have to embrace it. Come on. I have a schedule to get." Jeremy said hoping out of the car.

"This town is making me soft Erica." Maddie told the ghost in the back seat and the ghost smiled. "If you don't like it then don't let it happen." She said with a shrug and Maddie sighed. "Not easy, Ric. Let's go." Maddie said before hopping out of the car.

Instead of driving home, Caroline drove to Derek's loft. Maddie didn't care anymore, just as long as there was a couch or something for her to sleep on. After two hours of sleep, it turns out, sleep was not what Stiles and Caroline had planned for her. Maddie was seated on the couch, her eyes closed.

"Okay! You see this? This is how they got in. It's a rooftop air conditioning vent. Leads down inside into the wall of the vault, which is here, okay? One of the robbers was lowered into this shaft. Now, that space is so small it took him about 12 hours to drill into that wall, which is stone by the way. Then throughout the rest of the night, they siphoned the cash up to the guys back on the roof through that one little shaft in the wall. Boom." Stiles explained but Maddie was more concerned about the little amount of breathing he was doing.
