Chapter 18- Hidden Envy

-Harry's POV-

"Harry, Taylor. Time to get up, everyone's going down to the pool in an hour, then we need to get everything together for the tonight's show," Louis announced, his footsteps loudly heading towards the window. I opened my eyes to be greeted by the blinding Sydney sunlight, cringing and sinking back into my duvet.

"Lou, not cool," I groaned at him, furrowing my eyebrows and squinting as I re-opened my eyes.

"Sorry," He laughed. "But seriously get up you lazy arse," Louis grinned sarcastically and left the room.

A muffled noise came from Taylor's bed and I looked over to see a halo of tangled hair sticking out from the top of the white duvet.

"What was that?" My tone was filled with amusement as I headed over to the girl who clearly had a hangover.

"I said can you not," She sat up, wincing, and rubbing her head.

I couldn't help but laugh at her.

"Hey, stop laughing at me and fetch me some aspirin would you?" She pouted at me, and brushed her fingers through her hair.

"Whoa, hold up now. To my mind, if you are stupid enough to get a hangover, you should have to fetch your own pills to let the effect of drinking too much sink in," My smirk grew, as did her pout.

"Harry, please. You know I'd do the same for you," She attempted to bat her eyelashes at me, but failed, causing me to chuckle at her.

"Whatever you say," I stood up, despite her false statement, and searched the hotel for headache tablets.

When I returned to the room, Taylor had slightly cleared up her appearance, but dark bags still lay under her eyes. Darker than what a hangover would give you.

"So what drove you to the bar last night? You were fine when I left you," I spoke up, handing her a glass of water, followed by some Aspirin.

"What's it to you Styles? Why don't you stop worrying about me, and go to your new little friend," She snapped at me, then placed her glass of water on the dresser and walked through to the bathroom, slamming the door closed in the process.

-Taylor's POV-

Fucking Skye Francis. It had to be her.

I know what you're all thinking- another girl which I hate, same old shit. But the thing is that I don't hate her.. I envy her. There it is, I'm jealous of Skye.

She's the school's wannabe, every girl wants to be her. She's extremely rich, gets everything she wants and has two loving parents who spoil her fucking rotten.

And finally, to top it off, she is remarkably considerate and kindhearted. No sight of a two faced bitch, just Little Miss Perfect.

I sat on the edge of the bathtub with a scowl on my face for at least five minutes, before Harry interrupted the silence.

"So are you gonna tell me what's crushed your good mood, or am I going to be ignored?" His voice sounded raspier through the door, and echoed the bathroom.

Maybe I should tell him, he seems understanding enough. But if he knew, then he'd see I was weak, insecure because of one girl who seems to have everything better than anyone else.

I stared at the floor, it somehow reducing my urge to spill my feelings to him, and then finally left the bathroom without saying a word to the concerned lad.

I dressed into my plain black bikini, then covering up with shorts and a loose tank. I tied my hair into a ponytail and headed to the breakfast room, dodging questions from Harry.

From where I sat in the restaurant, I had full sight of Skye's table. She sat with Harry, Louis and Niall. The way she smiled up at them just sparked an unknown anger in me, remembering our previous conversation which occurred not long ago.

FLASHBACK

Harry walked out of the room to find me some pills, and I slowly left my bed. I brushed through my hair, and cleaned my teeth, then headed back to the room to pick up clothes to dress into.

"Taylor Miller, I was wondering when I'd see you! How have you been?" I turned to meet eyes with no other than Skye Francis. A.K.A Little Miss Perfect.

"Uh, I'm fine," I spoke through gritted teeth. "Nothing compared to how I was a week ago before my best friend left, and you replaced her. But fine,"

"Well good. I was actually looking for Harry, have you by any chance seen him?" Dimples indented her cheeks as she flashed a hopeful smile at me.

"He just left. Anything I can pass on to him?" I asked her, not being considerate, but just wanting her to leave as soon as possible.

"Oh, well I was just going to thank him for a great evening. He's ever so welcoming," She paused and stared dreamily at the floor for a moment. "But moving on, I should leave you to get ready,"

"Good idea, wouldn't want to be late for breakfast," I walked up to her, to lightly push her towards the door, but she dodged my touch before meeting my eyes.

"Tell Harry I said thanks," She turned and walked out after a second, and I was finally out of her presence.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Earth to Taylor?" A hand waved in front of my face, snapping me from my mini trance. "Oh thank god, I was seriously getting concerned for the juice carton you nearly killed," I looked down to see a crushed juice box which I must of squeezed to death.

"Sorry, just out of it this morning," I final looked up to see I was talking to Harry.

"That makes a change," He spoke with sarcasm dripping from his tongue. "But I just wanted to say that breakfast is over," I looked away from him, and saw that the restaurant was empty.

"Oh, then we should go," I left my now soggy cereal, and followed Harry through to the outside pool.

I couldn't help but admire Harry's torso, as he rid himself of a t-shirt. Probably enjoying the sight of him under the sun, more than I should do.

"Lovely sight, right," Louis appeared by my side, and obviously aware of where my eyes had wondered.

"What is? The pool? I know right, the sun shines on his muscles perfectly," I slapped a hand over my mouth as I realized what I'd just said. Louis' face was filled with complete amusement, but he did me the favour of not making a scene.. which is uncommon for him.

"So are you coming in the pool? There's a diving board and I heard it's squirrel free," He joked and I punched him gently in the arm.

"That's because they are saving themselves for your nuts if you don't shut the hell up Tomlinson," I smirked and he laughed along with me.

"Well I'm going to enjoy the water, join me if you please Princess Taylor," He headed towards the pool and jumped in, starting a splashing fight with Liam and surprisingly Jamie.

"Kids, huh," I snapped my head in Harry's direction, and having a slightly hard time keeping my eyes on his as I spoke.

"Yeah,"

"You were right when you said you were out of it this morning," I noticed he began to smirk at me, and I playfully stuck my tongue out at him.

"Well maybe I'm going crazy. Good luck sharing a hotel room with a mental patient," He joined my laughter, before resuming his position under the sun, me doing the same.

Heyy, another update guys!!! And if you somehow can't see the cast list- Skye is persued to look like Madison Beer or Ariana Grande, or whoever if you already imagined someone, I don't want to change what your imagination sees.

And thank you so much for achieving the vote/comment goal- just seeing that you guys like my writing puts a massive grin on my face.

-But in terms of the story, is Skye as perfect as she seems? After all, nobody is perfect right?!
