Funny, how life always find ways to destroy every thing that Ian Mendez have in his life. Well at least he finds it funny.
"Go home, your Mom passed away, we need you" Christine, His best friend, the epic love of his love, blah blah blah; Texted him on probably the worst timing known to man.
"Ian, something happend you need to come home asap" Ian listened again to the voicemail his mother left him, about a week ago. His mom sounded so worried, but knowing how she tends to over-react on things he decided to disregard the message. Oh how he wishes he didn't, How he wish he jumped on the next plane and went home.
Because maybe, just maybe if he did he would be happy eating with her, smiling and telling him how it's hard it is for him to find the time to spend with her. Just Maybe she would spend her last days smiling at him. But that is all there is now, all he has are maybes.
A week after receiving the call, his mom passed away; If only his pride wasn't in the way. If only His damn brother didn't steal Christine from him. If only he just went the hell home, and face every damn problems. His life would be so much happier, then he look at the girl with his sheets draped around her body looking at him, expectantly.
"What is it?" Brown doe eyes looked so worried. "Is there something wrong?"
"Andie, It's my mom" He slumped on the bed. "She -- I need to, um I, "
"shh" She put her arms around him, cradled him. "Do you want me to come with you?"
No. He didn't, he didn't want her there, but he sure damn hell need her with him. He didn't answer, next thing he know, she was arranging thier fllight back to his hometown; New Orleans.
