Chester

Chapter One: New School, New Feelings

Joseph's POV:  Our story begins in the Taylor household in a town called Chester. Located in Cheshire, England in 2006.  One Saturday morning, Naomi Taylor found her brother, Oliver, lying dead in his bed with blood splattered all on his wall from a gunshot to his head. The cops and ambulance were called immediately and the Taylor family were aching to see who killed their son. The problem is that no trace of any weapons, fingerprints, etc. were left. The parents were were upset and needed to know about the case. On the other hand, Naomi fell into an immediate depression about her brother's death. Whenever Naomi was down, Oliver would be there. If they wanted to do something together, they would go to a burger place called Sweet Mama's. Naomi would get chicken tenders and fries with a strawberry milkshake and Oliver would get a double-decker cheese burger with onion rings and a coke. When the Taylor's found out who murdered their son, Naomi wished death upon them. 

On Monday September 20th, it was the first day of school at Winchester High School. Emily Rose just moved from Long Beach, California because of her mother's company. When Emily woke up, she did her morning routine and went downstairs to the smell of sweet pancakes, bacon, and eggs in the kitchen. 

Emily's POV: " Morning mum!" I said cheerfully. " Morning sweet pea! You seem peppy today." said my mum with a smile. " Yep. It's my first day of high school ever I'm going to make the best of it." I explained while getting 2 pancakes topped with syrup and blueberries, scrambled eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, and a cup of coffee. " Good for you sweetie. I thought that you were going to be dreading this day." said my mum while kissing my forehead. " Why would I be dreading this day? I'm not anti-social so it will be easy for me to make friends, I'm very friendly and nice, I love to help teachers, and so on! I'm going to make this day count." I explained while stuffing my food in my mouth. " Good. Careful sweetie with your food! You might choke!" my mum exclaimed. 

Lilly's POV: I'm terrified of this day. All summer I've been freaking out on how terrifying this day would be. Maybe in movie high school seems fun where there is singing, nice people, prom, dating, etc. If you believe that,it's fake.  The bullies in high school is even worse than middle school. People can do anything in that dreadful place. In movies, the "emo" people get bullied often. The worst part is, I'm an emo! Since I am suffering from depression and very bad anxiety, I always care about people's opinion. It honestly sucks. I was sitting on the couch putting my sneakers on and my mum walked up to me. " Hey love. Your going to do great today I promise you'll make some friends today." my mum sad while holding my hand. " Yeah sure because people totally want to be friends with the girl with no friends that wears black all the time and never wants to talk to anyone." I said sarcastically while rolling my eyes. My mum handed me a black leather bracelet with a small, gold heart charm on it. " This used to be your grandmother's. She gave it to me whenever I felt scared or sad. Basically it's for good luck. I thought you'd might like wear it today." she explained with a smile. In my defense, it did look good. I took the bracelet and said thanks. I walked out the door and headed to the bus stop feeling a little better. 

Amelia's POV: Once I walks into the high school, everybody stares at me and looks at my clothes. I was raised by rich parents so my clothes were expensive and pretty compared to others. " Look at the new and improved Regina George." says one girl. Her group of friends laughed. I just ignored them and walked to my locker. Once I put my book bag in my locker, someone tapped my shoulder and said, " Don't worry about them, they're just Helios that they can't have nice things. They always act like that." " Oh thanks for the information." I responded. " By the wayMy name is Sabrina Lavender. Are you new here?" " Yeah. I just moved here." I said. " Oh wow. well since u just walked in here, I'm assuming that you don't have any friends?" Sabrina asked concertedly. " Nope." I said. " Well since I know most of the people in this school because they went to my middle school, we can be friends and I can show you around! If u want." Sabrina insisted. " Yeah sure I would love that. Do you have other friends here? " I asked. " I only have two good friends Lacy Miltion and Makayla James. I only have those two because most people here only care about your appearance like looks and new things. But Lacy and Makayla don't. But I think you and Lacy will get along pretty well." explained Sabrina with a big smile. " Oh that's good." I sighed in relief knowing I had one friend today and it was easy. 

Author's POV: Once the students settled in their new school, everyone new it was going to be different this school year. Oliver was supposed to lead the basketball tournament but since he passed, the tournament was canceled. Everyone knew about Oliver's passing and Taylor was well known by now. All of the students were hoping to have a good year.
