I sit in the third pew of the church making sure I hear everything the preacher is saying as the sermon goes on I notice the First Lady Mrs.Lawson giving me the dirty look I roll my eyes causing my mom to pop my hand I'm glad pastor Lawson had ended church early I hugged a few church members before making my way to my car I waited a few moments and my mom finally made her way out of the church she was talking to the pastor and First Lady she held on to him like a kid holding on to candy I must admit the pastor is quite handsome he was a fairly chocolate man with some nice pearly white teeth he stood about 6'0 and deep wavesand I know his regular job beside being a pastor he was a doctor I snap out of my trance and see my mom was making her way to my car
"Why'd you roll your eyes at First Lady ?"she asked immediately as she got in
"she giving me the dirty eyes for no reason"I said snapping on my seatbelt and cranking my car
"You know mrs.lawson is a very jealous woman I could see why pastor Lawson is handsome "she said putting on her seat belt
I pull out the parking lot and head towards my moms house
"But she doesn't have to think every female in church wants her husband and secondly are you cooking Sunday dinner ?"I asked trying to change the subject
"Yes I am it's chicken,Mac Nd cheese,mash potatoes,and cornbread also call Dante and make sure he shows up so I can see my grandkids"she said
"Siri call favorite brother"I said speaking into my iPhone X after a few rings he picks up

"Hey bro what are you up to ?"I asked
"Waiting on Constance hoe ass to come over and give a nigga so"he was saying but I cut him

"Moms in the car"I said before he could finish his sentence
"Oh shit my bad mom"he said
"Uh huh are you coming over for dinner if so bring my grandbabies you know Constance don't bring them by unless you here "she said
"What time food gonna be ready ?"he asked
"5 sharp and plus the game is gonna be on"said my mom she knows how to convince my brother
"Bet I'mma there for sure "he said
Click I hang up the phone my brother is a drug dealer yes my mom know she wants him to stop and so do I he has two kids twins King and Queen their mom Constance use to be my best friend but she got hooked on drugs not because of my brother so don't think he got her hooked but anyways after that her life went downhill my brother tried to get her off and change her life but nope she not on them as bad as she use to slowly she changing back to her old self because of her kids so hopefully she will be clean not only for herself but for her kids as I'm lost in thoughts I didn't realize how long I was at the light before a car honked knocking me out of my trance I immediately gas it
"Ava are you ok?" My mom asked in a concerning tone
"Yes ma'am I was just lost in thought that's all"I say focusing on the road
"You sure you don't seem to be yourself"she said
"Ma I'm good"I said slightly chuckling
We finally made it to her house and I immediately head to the bathroom I get a text on my phone
Pastor: Hey Ava it's pastor Lawson
Ava:Hey pastor
Pastor: How are ou
Ava: good and yourself
Pastor: Stressed but long as God got me I'll be fine I was wondering if you were free so we could chat about improvements in the church
Ava: yes when would be a good time I'm free everyday after 5
Pastor: How About Friday at 6:30 at Olive Garden
Ava: Perfect see you there
"Girl did you fall in i good pee"I heard my brother say
I opened the door and hug my brother and go to the kitchen
"Aunt Ava"said King running to me king and queen are like my kids I don't want to have kids but I wanna adopt I know i know it doesn't make sense but hey it's my choice anyways I play with king while queen was up under her dad she's the true definition of a daddy's girl
"Come on y'all it's time to eat"said my mom
We all gather in the kitchen and I help my mom fix plates we sit down,eat,and chat about life I look at my clock it's nearly 11 I kiss and tell everyone goodbye I have to get up for work at 7 and I need all the rest I can get I arrive home at 11:47 I immediately change into my pajamas and drift off to sleep
