***7 MONTHS LATER***

" Today's your last day and you're home sweet home." Dr. Marceline said, holding ot her clipboard with all my hospital records within these past few months.

After the car crash, i remembered myself in the hospital. I stayed there for just over a month and spent the next six months in rehabilitation. I broke my right arm, tore numerous muscles in my back, and i had a concussion. I had to visit the hospital frequently to get a check up and all the usual stuff, and i've become comfortable with some of the staff there as well.

" Thanks sososo much Marce." i smiled thankfully.

" It's been a pleasure meeting someone like you Al. You're one special girl, you know that?" she winked at me, tapping her pen on the clipboard. She has a habit of doing that. " And any boy is lucky to have you." She left the room.

Then my heart fell. I haven't thought about HOW i got into that car crash for a really long time. The reason i was in the hospital. The exact same reason i was in rehab... James.

The pit of my stomach twisted the same way it did that same night. I needed to get things off my mind. I needed to get rid of him from my thoughts. But could i?

I haven't been home in a really long time and i missed the first four months of school because of this. My first four months in highschool.

" Hey Al, you're free to go." Marce smiled as she peeped through the door.

My mom and dad were waiting outside and they jumped at me when they saw me. Tears ran down my mom's face. My dad looked relieved to see that i wasn't what i looked like months ago: in the hospital bed with bandages and gause all over my body.

They were glad to see that i was okay. Then they went on and on about what they were gonna do for me when i got home: blueberry waffles, movies, clothes shopping, etc.

All of a sudden, they decided to spoil me because i'm finally out and i'm free.

" Hey Al!" i heard a familiar voice call me from behind.

"MEL!!!!" i jumped on top of her.

" I'm glad you're good as new." she chuckled.

" Haha, thanks."

" And about James--"

" Can we not talk about this now? I just can't do it right now, i hope you understand." i said with tears coming down my cheeks.

" Oh it's ok. We'll talk about it whenever you want to." she pulled me into a hug.

My eyes got all watery and stingy as she pulled from the hug. Then i saw a figure at the end of the hall, looking at me.

I rubbed my eyes to make my vision clearer, but the figure was gone.

I could've sworn i saw James...

" C'mon. Let's go home." she slung her arm over my shoulder as we walked to my parent's car.

" Wait. What are you doing here? Don't you have school?" i dared to ask.

" I got leave. But i promised to be back in a couple weeks." she smiled down at me.

"What's today?" i asked.

" Sunday my dear." my mom answered as we all got into the car. " And don't worry, we already registered you in GW. You start on wednesday." she stared at me from the rear view mirror.

"Got it." i gave her a thumbs up.

" Alea... Alea... ALEA!!!!" I heard someone whisper at first, but yelled at me on the third time, which caused me to fall off my bed.
