I have to get her away from me. i can't hurt her like I hurt her mother. I must proect her. 

those are the thoughts running through my head as i pass through the quiet streets of Magnolia. it's around midnight as i make my way towards Fairy Tail. 

i hope they will keep her safe. i hope she won't hate me for doing this.

my name is Zeref, i am the dark wizard and at the moment i am making my way towards a guild called Fairy Tail with my 3 week old daughter in my arms. 

Fairy Tail was her mother's guild and since i've heard they protect each-other i'm hoping they will do the same for my Lucy.

as i arrive at the front door i feel a tear slip down my face knowing this will be the last time i see my baby for a long time. i give her a kiss on the top of her head. i knock on the guild door, place Lucy carfully on the ground and run to the shadows. there i hide and wait.

a few moments later the doors open to reveal a very small man who looks around but misses Lucy. just as he was about to go inside Lucy makes a small wimpering noise and the man turns around and looks down. surprise evident on his face. knowing she will be in good hands i make my journey back to the woods where i can't hurt anyone.

Makarov's POV 

it was late at night and the only people here at the guild were me, my son, my grandson Maccou, Wakaba and Gildarts. I was just playing with Laxus, my grandson when I heard a knock on the guild doors.

 I expected them to open and someone to enter but when no one did I walked to the door myself. I looked around and saw no one but as I turned around, about to head back in I hear a small whimper from behind me.

I turn back around and see no one. that's until I look down, and sitting right there on the cold night ground was a baby wrapped in a bundle of pink blankets.

I bend down, though not that far because of my height and pick her up. I look around to see if there was anyone who might be the person responsible for putting her here but I see no one.

I look back down at the baby and see a note tucked between the blankets. I picked it up and read it.

Dear kind reader,

who ever you are I beg you to take care of my daughter. her name is Lucy. I know it is a big request but I know that you will be able to provide a better life for her, better than I ever could. I know this because instead of ignoring her you picked her up and are reading this letter.

I could have left her any where but I know about Fairy Tail and how they protect each other so I ask that you provide the same protection for Lucy. and treat her as if she were one of your own.

there is something you must know about her. she has great power for I, her father, and her mother, we are both very powerful mages. I suspect she will develop, in both physical and magical  ways differently to others her age. so please keep that in mind. I can already sense it even at her age of  3 weeks that she is starting to develop a magic touch.

due to one of her ancestors power i already suspect she will have the ability to become a celestial mage among other magic. that is why i have kept her ancestors keys with her. you will find them tucked in her blankets, there are all 12 of the zodiak keys and 5 silver keys.

when the time comes please help her dicover and control  her power for i fear if it gets out of control, she will be in big trouble and so will others.

Interesting.

so she belongs to two powerful mages. 

of course i will take her in but i fear for what her father means about how powerful she will get and her development.

however, i am not one to turn down a child in need so i shall take her in as a member of Fairy Tail. but there is a problem. i'm afraid that i am too old to raise a young child so i have to find someone else to do it.

hopefully someone in the guild will agree to do...

this is my first fanfic and i only did this for fun. but i would like some feedback so i know if i need to improve anything and if you are enjoying it. thanks for reading
