Working with the SSR is the greatest thing you've ever done. You were recruited at the very young age of fifteen where you were failing out of classes because they bored you with how easy it all was you were a genius after all not that any one believed you since you were a girl.
You are now 23 working on missions with your partner and best friend Peggy Carter she's amazing at every thing. You and Peggy had just returned from an undercover mission and were talking about the details when you heard someone clear their throats a man a very handsome man by the name of Howard Stark. He had come to recruit you and Peggy to help him on something called Project Rebirth which is going to be a Super Solider and mostly likely the worlds first super hero. You said yes instantly your curiosity and love for science took over as soon as you heard the words super and  soldier. Peggy however actually read every file and met Doctor Erskine before saying yes she likes being prepared and very well informed.
You had been working on this project for a year now and Howard well he was a big flirt and very charming always bringing you flowers and asking you out on dates you however knew his reputation of being a playboy and always said no, what you don't know was that he was in love with you. You loved him to but you didn't want to be another sexual endeavour if you said yes to a date you needed to know he was being sincere.
*time skip a few months to the day of Steve's procedure*
You were in a white lab coat standing talking to Howard or as you liked to call him Howie while Peggy was bringing Steve over to the lab so you could turn him into the super soldier. You had met Steve a few times he really liked Peggy, he was nice to you and he seemed to hate Howard. After what felt like hours of talking to Howard Peggy and Steve arrived you gave a Howard a hug before walking over to greet Steve and Peggy.
Hugs, hellos and good lucks were exchanged before Peggy went into the viewing area and you lead Steve over to the tube where the procedure would be happening. Howard was there waiting and ready for Doctor Erskine to explain the procedure to Steve you were listening intently to what the Doctor was saying when an arm wrapped around your waist Howard's arm to be exact. When Doctor Erskine had explained everything to Steve you walked over to the control panel with Howard and gave Steve one last friendly smile before the procedure begun. Howard started turning the dial as it got higher Steve begun screaming it was scaring you a bit so you reached out for Howard's outstretched hand and held onto it almost like his hand was protecting you. When Steve's screams got louder Peggy tried telling you all to turn off the machines but Steve told you to keep going to which you did. When the procedure finished Howard pulled you into a hug and not long after the machine you were standing at exploded knocking you both back few feet you still wrapped in Howard's arm holding onto him even tighter now. Next thing you know there was another explosion but this time it was in the viewing area, Doctor Erskine was dead and a man ran off with the last vile of the super soldier serum.
