Chapter one: Settling in.
“Sara you all packed we have to get going” Sara mum, Yasmin shouted from the living room. “Yeah im coming now” Sara said as she was coming down the stairs. For all her life Sara lived with her family and today was the day that she was going to move away from them and go to university. Everyone was chatting away in the care and then there was Sara just sitting there looking out the car window and thinking about what the future holds for her. “Sara, Sara, Sara” Her younger sister Sarah said, shaking her. “erm yeah” Sara said coming out her thoughts. “me and your mum were saying that make sure to don’t stay up too late doing your work and make sure you eat” Sara’s dad, Abdul said looking though the mirror at his daughter.
A few hours later they had reached the university. Sara walked off to the reception to get her keys for her room, while her family waited outside. “Im worried about Sara cant she just come home and stay there rather than staying here” her Mum said looking at Abdul. “ Yasmin Sara has to grow up at some point you have to let her stand on her own two feet and plus she will be back on the weekends” Her dad said as he looked at is wife and have her a smile. Within a few minutes Sara was back with her keys to her flat and they all got the stuff out the car and took them up to the flat. Sara was scared and worried about living alone she has always lived with her parents but she knew that she has to do this if she wanted to become her own person and make a life for herself.
A few hours later all Sara’s things were put in place and now it was time for her family to leave. “Make sure you look after yourself okay” her dad smiled as he hugged is daughter. “Yes dad” she replied as she smiled into the hug. “Make sure you ring us all the time Sara” Her mum said as she looked at her daughter and smiled. Sara looked at her mum and nodded. Sara saw her family out and said her goodbyes to them as she waved them off.
“Jaaaaaaaaaaaake we need to leave” Shouted Paul, Jake’s dad. “Coming dad wait” Jake shouted back as he was doing the final check of his room. A few minutes later they were all in the car and were off to drop Jake off to university. Jake was busy texting his best friend, joe and telling him about Freshers week and that he couldn’t wait to go out and get smashed. “Jake, Jake mummy is calling you” Jakes little sister Holly-mai said as she kicked her bother. Jake looked at his little sister and stuck his tongue out. “ Jake, sweetheart don’t got out drinking too much, that’s not what you are there for” Jake’s mum, Anne said she as she turned to look at her son. The car journey to the university was Jake getting told by his parents what he should and should not do.
An hour later and they had finally reached the university. Jake went off to get the keys to his flat from the reception and his family just waited in the car for him. Within a few minutes Jake was back and he knocked on his dad’s window to signal for them to come out and help him unpack. An Hour later and Jake was finally unpacked and was outside saying his goodbyes to his family. “Thanks again mum for doing all the unpacking for me” Jake smiled as he have his mum a tight hug. “It’s okay darling, Make sure you look after yourself and don’t go getting drunk too much” His mum smiled as she looked at her son and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Jake put up his little sister and gave her a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek and said “I love you Holly lots and lots to the moon and back” “I love you too Jakey lots and lots more than jelly tots” holly smiled as her brother placed her in the car and she gave him a kiss in the cheek. “Look after yourself soon” his dad said as he gave Jake a man hug. “Jake does this mean I can have your room now” His brother, Josh said as he gave his big brother a cheesy grin. “ Stay out my room bruv” Jake said as he have his little brother a little push towards the car.
Jakes family were now in the car and Jake was stood on the road waving goodbye to his parents. All of a sudden his phone buzzed in his pocked. He took it out and noticed he has a text message from his best friend, Joe. * Yo bruv you coming out tonight* Jake read as he was walking back to his flat. He was too busy paying attention to his phone that he bumped into someone and dropped his phone. “Sorry” said the voice. “It’s okay it was my fault” Jake said as he picked up his phone and looked and who he bumped into. He was stunned by the beautiful girl who was standing opposite him. “Im Jake” he smiled as he put his hand forward to sake this beautiful girls hand. “Im Sara” she smiled as she shook his hand.
