I walked into the house, I couldn't wipe the grin off of my face. I informed my mom of the dinner plans before heading up to my room to get ready.
I wore a tan laced t-shirt with black jeans. I looked at myself in the mirror, frowning at my appearance.
This was the best outfit I have. I bet the Styles' family is wearing fancy outfits, with their hair done to perfection, not one wrinkle in their clothing.
Ever since my dad left, my mom and I have had to go without. Without clothes, food, you name it. Now, my mom has landed a nice job so we can now afford the necessities, but clothing is not on that list.
I add some mascara to my lashes, to make my boring hazel eyes more resplendent.
I throw on some black vans, classy I know, and head down the hallway.
"Ariella, it's time to go!" My mother yelled opening the front door.
I jogged down the stairs, reaching my mother.
"You look pretty." She said smiling slightly.
We both smile and walk out the door, knowing the truths of our lives we don't ever want to admit.
But someday, we will have to, and that's what scares me.
