Once I had grabbed my keys and locked the door behind us we jogged down the stairs, skipping a few as we ran. Then left the block and strolled along the once dauntless section of town. Memories hid with every corner of every part of the streets but with Christina they didn't seem to haunt me as much. Slowly my body started to relax like everything was normal.
"Want to know what we're going to do then?" Christina sighed as though I should have known already. When I replied with a hesitant nod the a smile which she only showed to me burst on to her face. " We are going to get as much rubbish and junk food as possible, find a tent and get ready for a camp out tonight." Once she was done and I could see the childish joy in her glistening eyes I could see that she was doing this for her as well as my benefit. I couldn't help but humour her. " What are you ten?" I questioned with a sardonic twang to the words. Her reply said everything with in just a few words. "Yes actually could you not tell, I've was so bad at being Candor they couldn't wait till I was sixteen to get rid of me and sent me to use as soon as they could." Although it was a joke and she wasn't ten I couldn't help but wonder what foolish, youthful, active mind could make such a simple thing like camping feel like the most exciting event of my life.
When we finally arrived at the shop and stocked up with dauntless cake and stuff I couldn't help but start to look forward to the night. We put everything into bag to carry it then headed to get an old tent from the Christina's place. It took her about twenty minuets to find it although she insisted before hand that she new where it was.
She led me up to a room at the back where you could look out over the city. With her living in the ya coke building I was starting to grow accustom to the height, yet still refused at best to go right to the top. Yes I did it for tris but that was a one time thing.
Once she found the tent from under a huge stack of old clothes in the back of a battered, wooden wardrobe she picked it up. Grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the room towards the kitchen.
While we sat on the stools by the breakfast bar I asked where we were going and if it would take long. Her reply was a not so trust worthy grin.
After about ten minuets in the kitchen she asked if I was ready and headed to the door to the hall. I followed behind her. After she locked the door and headed away in the opposite direction to the stars down I realised why.
"No I'm not going up there" I stuttered while stammering backwards.
"Yes you are!" She replied with a stubbornness to her tone "you have done it before but this time don't do it for Tris, do it for yourself."
I hesitantly followed, knowing it was the right choise
